  2. Fantastic German made Warwick Streamer CV up for grabs. These are Warwick's take on a more traditional bass, using classic woods and passive electronics. This one however has been upgraded with Bartolini B-Axis Pickups and a 2 band Bartolini NTBT pre-amp, with a push/pull passive option. It has also been fitted with a Warwick Brass 'just-a-nut' and a Gotoh drop D detuner. It features luminlay side dots (very handy on dark stages) and comes with the plush Warwick premium gig bag. The bass is in great condition and very lightweight at 3.7kg. Collection from Margate or I can box it up if you'd like to arrange your own courier.
  3. Showed my kids the LEDs, they thought it was cool. I don't think this will be enough to swing me buying it 😂
  4. Measurements for the fender seats:( each seat ) 48cm tall/ 35 cm across / 31 cm depth ..approximately !
  5. Semi-weighted is what I'm after from a stage Piano.
  6. For the buskers and bedroom musicians . A cute bass combo with inbuilt effects and drum machine ! Very loud despite its size . A great practice tool ! It’s battery and mains powered , and comes with the original Roland Power supply ! The Fender seats will hold all your guitar cables , pedals accessories etc-plus you can sit down on them and they are very comfy ! Ideal for 3-4 hr rehearsals in crappy environments. One of the Fender seats has been modified to accommodate the Roland Cube , and the other seat is in original condition . I won’t split ! I do like the Roland but I have the zoom b 3 which does me recording at home as I don’t do bands anymore . I’ll give it a couple of weeks and may withdraw if there is no interest . collection only !
  7. Really? I lived in Nuneaton for the best(?) part of thirty years, I can’t say I found the name, nor accent (which I still have) particularly erm… great. The original area was just called Eaton. When it expanded they decided to change the name… there happened to a nunnery there, too… I am glad I got out when I did, the place has completely gone to pot. I’ve noticed comedians, and others on the telly, using the place as a crime riddled hellhole. From what I have seen and heard (have friends still in the area), they’re not wrong. Unfortunately the pun wasn’t deliberate. I’m not feeling quite that witty today.
  8. Yes. I don't suppose it was deliberate but I quite liked the symmetry of it. It's also just a great place name, especially said in the local accent.
  9. Some more photos of this lovely little U-bass, which I can't believe hasn't sold!

  11. Hi, Following on from my recent post in search of a USA Musicman Sub as a fretless, I have purchased a very suitable bass to have converted to a fretless, the neck has already been crudely stripped of its finish so I am not going to devalue it further by defretting it, does anyone know of a decent luthier in the Northants area (or within reasonable travelling distance) who could do the job? Sadly all the contacts I had for doing such work have long since retired! Rog
  12. I'd like one please Rob, looks great and more than happy to make a donation for it ☺️
  13. I've always loved G3's. But somehow always ended up selling them again, just like Stingrays. I'd be interested to feel and hear an original against the Epi. Btw I just saw an original black Gibson for sale at a music shop for €1695. That's a pretty good deal for nowadays.
  14. I do like this boomerang bananas bass ! It reminds me a little of those Roland midi basses back in the day . This is much better as it’s not so clinical looking , and of course it’s yellow !
  15. Rehearsed Sunday morning and last night as we're trying to bring a new guitarist up to speed. To be honest I think we shouldn't have rehearsed Sunday and allowed the guitarist to learn more of the material. That aside, they were good rehearsals. We got through a good amount of material. And the sound and mix are so much better now, especially for me. With our previous guitarist, there seemed to be nowhere sonically for me to sit, his volume and tone filled everything. I don't know how he managed it. Now, everything seems to sit so much more comfortably with each other. I've got a tone I'm loving at the moment and it makes playing so much more enjoyable.

  20. This really annoys me. Ive heard people say bands they don't like are rubbish and 90% of thevtime, they just mean "this band doesn't fit my taste". If they've made it to the radio/tv/big festival then its highly unlikely they are rubbish. Personally I don't like Taylor Swift but I appreciate she is excellent at what she does. I really can't stand classic rock but those bands probably influenced the bands who influenced my favourite bands. Simply Red however, are just rubbish.

  24. Indeed. My brother, who is also the guitarist in one of my bands, is undergoing chemo for stage 4 cancer. We’ve managed to keep gigging while he’s still feeling well enough to do so, but that will come to an end at some point in the future. One of its many impacts has been this focus on the present moment rather than a future which may not happen. I’m guilty as charged of being busy now on things that will pay dividends in future, but the current situation is bringing home to me the importance of making the most of present time as well.
