I think I went a bit overkill on the mods!

SD quarter pounders PJ pickups, multitonal gotoh bridge, Schaller tuning heads,  a matte black s/plate … and black volume / tone knobs

That's the best mod-job I've ever seen on a Ricky 4001.

You can't go wrong with a set of SDQPs. Everything else is for the eyes, those are for the ears. They transformed my Squier P-bass Special, which is still my favourite 4-string

Just get a set of cream covers on those SDs (to match the fretboard) & that'll be sorted. 👍
