There's been a few posts about various Squier models on here recently so I thought a collective space to post pics of all those wonderful instruments would be lovely. ❤️

Ok, I’ll play…

Started off in 1983/4 with a black SQ Precision, my first gigging bass.

Added a Jazz bridge pick-up & eventually stripped it & refinished it, even defretted it…Played lovely as a fretless but I bought a Stingray fretless & moved on the Squier.

2012 needed a Jazz bass for the function band I was with…The two guitarists had purple Strats, the closest I could find was a Burgundy mist Squier infinity that I had to import from the US as it wasn’t a European listed colour at the time?
2021 saw me with a hankering for a P-bass again, but I wanted a white one with a maple board…The Squier affinity PJ fitted the bill perfectly..
2022 The call for Sunburst & blocks was strong….The VM 70’s answered 😄

I've had plenty of Squier's over the years I still have this 80's JV 32" scale Jazz, strung with some sort of flats, I had a SQ 32" scale Precision for a while which was rather nice.

I now prefer short scale basses and I'm happier playing my Classic Vibe Mustang.

I started on a Squier back in the 80s and the current crop are great. Having spent several years of the last decade only owning two basses (both Squiers), I currently only have my bass vi that is a Squier bass.

I also have a 6 & 12 string for writing songs.

I don't have much call for P basses, but everyone needs one, right? So this was my lockdown panic present, of which the body, knobs and scratchplate are original. Pickup is a Seymour Duncan housed in a cheap cream housing. Loom is Kiogon, neck and tuners are Fender 70s-style and bridge is one of them chunky Fender Mexico jobs.

My Squier Affinity Jazz, in Charcoal Frost Metallic. I replaced the black pickguard with a cheap tort one and added a tugbar, as I’m probably one of the few people that use them on the treble side. It’s got La Bella flats on it now also.

I originally wanted the Burgundy Mist Metallic version but everywhere was sold out so when Thomann were knocking these out for £175 I didn’t hesitate. Would have loved a blocks & bound neck on it but I think they only came with the 40th Anniversary Jazzes. Still an amazing bass regardless of cheapness 👍
