Normally I'd be thinking about sticking up a poster and details for our next gig, but I've been informed that it has sold out already.

 

Don't be too impressed. The venue is less than 100 capacity, there are 5 bands in total playing and the headliners, Social Youth Cult, are the hot new goth band who have just released their debut album.

Got some Stray headline gigs coming up before The British Lion tour. This Sunday we’re at The Hot Box in Chelmsford for a late afternoon gig - but it’s sold out! The following Thursday we’re in Ramsgate at The Red Arrows club then on to Hastings on Friday at The Carlisle supported by Gypsies Kiss.

From a nice, sedate build up to our annual Christmas performance at the local Crown Court Xmas party, I suddenly find myself with two additional dep gigs to prepare for within the same week. Both are with bands I've depped for in the past, and both involve different versions (key and arrangement) of the same song which is also in the set for the Christmas party. It's hard work going between all three and trying to keep a track of which one is for which gig. 😀

A new venue to play and it's like 2 minutes from my house!  Playing tomorrow night with Nine Lives at the Grampian Bar in Torry, Aberdeen.  Always an experience to try new places - no idea what to expect!

Depping with the Lee Aaron Band at The Cavern in Raynes Park this Friday night. Small stage, loud band, small venue..... should be er........full on!

I've got a busy weekend. 3 gigs with a Belgian black doom band, Svarthart, starting at The Victoria in Swindon tonight, The Victory in Hereford Saturday and Fuel in Cardiff on Sunday.

First gig in a while for me, hernia op and rotator cuff uff injury means I have not played in anger since August. Still struggling so will take the Kala UBass Solid Body.  Depending on the audience, might  tell a joke about the UBass shrinking in the wash. However on Thursday I managed a session with the Fender Aerodyne so will start with that but change to the U Bass if necessary.

My band Shreds. will be opening for D.R.I. in Hull next year.  I’ve been a huge fan since about age 14.  How crazy is that!?!

Last gig for 2025 . Playing Girdwoods Bar , Wishaw on Sunday afternoon 7th December before a three month hiatus whilst various band members have a few holidays and work commitments lined up. Played this venue almost a year ago and had a brilliant time. The keyboard players other band, The Brass Monkeys, played here last week so he should know where he is going😄! Some of our dedicated travelling followers ( as in 250 mile round trip!!!) have said they'll be there to lead off the dancing so a good afternoon is anticipated.
