Traded a Vette $$ 5 string for a CIJ 62 reissue Jazz.

Good bloke and thanks for the coffee! At least I can blame him when the girlfriend complains I've just bought another bass, as I now want a Geddy Jazz after seeing his!!!!!

I thought the piccies sent were great but the bass was even better in the flesh (it's a blooming stunner!!! So good it needs to be in the Gear Porn section - I'm working on it)! Believe it came from Mr Cougar originally and was mint and is still mint now! Severe wrist and elbow pain from playing both recent trades (PB from King Tut and JB) into the early hours of Sunday morning.... It's a different sort of wrist pain to the usual!!

Many thanks for a great trade - I'm as happy as pig in poo!!!

Cheers Rich!! Much appreciated!!

Just to let all BC'ers know Rich is a totally top bloke to deal with...arrived bang on time, great bloke and a pleasure to do business with.

...I will NOT accept any blame/damage to relationship as a result of the "Geddy" factor!!!!!!!!!

Cheers

Matt

Agreed, just bought a Fullerton Precision from Matt, and into the bargain got what appears to be a Caribbean tree-hanging fruit* which someone at Fender carelessly screwed into the neck pocket one Friday afternoon in the late '70's (which fruit also contravenes EC ruling 9776b/ii subsection 12 on the degree of curvature allowed in said fruit).

Much to his (and Mr Cougar's before him) credit, this bass could have been split (geddit...?) and sold for quite a lot of cash, but neither did, and Matt, having scored an absolute bargain, passed it on at the same price. Good man. OK, it's going to take some work to get the rather extraordinary neck into playable condition, but assuming it can be done, in a couple of months I'll have a maple board fretless Precision again :)

Thanks Matt, it was a pleasure doing business with you.

Chris

A gent to deal with and a good, prompt payer.

+1 to the above. Arived, had a good chat and paid in full. Really nice bloke. Glad the T Bird will now get the playing it deserves! Reserved it for him for a week and he was good as his word. Thanks Matt!
