1. Many thanks MB1, This is back up for sale. It's not even been taken out of the box since it was originally posted. ...£30 O.N.O?
2. Sold him a set of speakers. Nice guy to deal with.
3. very heavy distortion and a huge amount of additional gain. Quite a good variaty of sounds for the money.
4. Here's the kit and all the info.... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/184508-mapex-venus-series-kit-cymbals-etc-etc-l350/
5. Hello all, Having a huge clear-out and getting rid of my sisters kit (I tried to learn on). It's been great and a real handy one to have for local gigs and for my little sister to have lessons on but... she's lost interest (boys and iPods are currently more intersting) and it's taking up a lot of room. Real shame to be selling it, but would be much better off being played than being stored for another winter. So here's the Spec: Mapex Venus Series - black - Toms (High, Low, Floor) loaded with Evans Genera G2 skins Mapex Venus Series - black - Kick with Evans Emad skin Mapex Venus Series - chrome - Snare with Remo weatherking coated ambassador skin Sonor 200 Series stand Orion Viziuss 20" Power Ride Premier double braced Ride stand with Floor-tom mount. Orion Solo Pro 14" Hi-hats Sonor 100 Series hi-hat stand Unbranded Kick pedal Spare Remo weatherking kick skin Original Mapex kick skin Damaged (drilled out cracks) Sabian AAX 16" Stage Crash Gok Cowbell Stagg sticks Really nice kit to learn or gig on. Plenty of life in all the skins (marked by tipped sticks) and pretty fat sounding kick. Would even suite a small/budget studio. Obviously this will need picking up at some point. I'm moving house on 25th Aug, but my family (and sister) will be around to get the kit out for you and show you how good condition it's in. For a better show around get to me before that date!!! The price is negotiable but only within reason - all of the components on this kit are high spec gradually picked up over a few years - and for that reason it looks a little higgledy-piggledy when you look at the list. Check the pictures - not a showy kit - purely a players kit! £350 o.n.o Thanks in advance
6. Ideally to be sold as a job lot to one very enthusiastic enthusiast. Sensible price to be arranged on arrival. In all seriousness some of this kit is valuable, especially to collectors, so please don't turn this thread into the 'dead-grandad-jokes thread'
7. Hello all, Unfortunately my grandfather died and I inherited a whole pile of his vintage audio stuff. I would love to keep, restore, and enjoy them just like he would have wanted (I never met the guy), but alas I have not the space, time, money or motivation. I know very little about them and am aware that the condition of the items is definitely 'used' - especially the Hede Nielsen gear. Most will need re-wiring with plugs... I have no idea what my grandfather was thinking when he chopped them off. Hede Nielsen: Arena 211 and 221 Tuner and Amplifier - couldn't find a guide price... Tandberg: Model 11 trape/track player - have seen for £250, I'd take a lot less. B&O: Beogram 1000 - have seen for £200, again negotiable. I am aware that some of the items are worth a considerable amount of money, but I am low on time and need to sell by the 25th Aug this year, so thought letting word of mouth - over the internet - would be the quickest way of shifting them. Any more info/pictures let me know asap. I will be moving to London on the date above and would much prefer to not have them any longer after then as I'll be flying to Australia for a month then heading into final year of Uni. Kind regards, and thanks for your patience reading my mid-morning ramblings. 8. Hello all, It's been a while since I last came on here... and there's a reason: I am not playing enough bass! So I've made the executive decision to sell up all the old gear and wait til I'm playing more to get a more suitable rig (you should be happy to hear I'm keeping the bass: see picture, 1998 USA Fender PJ Through Strung 4 String). This also means not trades, unfortunately, as I am moving house and really don't have the space. £SOLD Ashdown MAG300 C115 Combo - £SOLD ELK 2x10 4ohm Cabinet - £60 I bought this a while ago on here and it's served me really well. I used the Head in the above combo (with the crazy housing detailed below) for a while and it was a great thumping set up. Very heavy cabinet, and well made (by a basschatter if I'm not wrong) with good handles. 2x10" Drivers (Will open her up and have a look if anyone is curious - I think they're Eminence drivers) Tweeter Dual Speakon connection at rear Front ported Home made MAG300 Head Housing - £?? One day I got bored of having a combo and wanted a head and cab. So I the head out of my combo and made a little home for it. Fits like a glove and could easily be tolexed/carpeted. May need a touch of filling in places, though. Vented from the front.... oh yeh! Can't really put a price on such an incredible piece of handiwork, so if you like it come get it and buy me a pint or something interesting... otherwise it's going on the bonfire (or to the lucky buyer of the combo above). The £?? indicates a double figure price on it's own. to cover the cost of my own blood sweat and tears... I found the ply and used black drywall screws for added attitude. 9. Clearing out a load of stuff and need rid of by the 25th August - 2012!!! Tayden Audio Drivers 10" Cone 16ohm 150W Would make a good pair of 'knock-up' project speakers. Took them out of a cabinet to turn it into a 4ohm'er, making these redundant. The cabinet is also for sale... along with my amp and a few other bits. Name me a price, I'd love £30-40 for the pair. Thanks all!
10. Hi all, Having a bit of a clear-out so please check out my other bits. Need to get rid of this ASAP before I move house then go abroad So, as the title says, Aria TD-1 Drive Plus tube distortion pedal. It was purchased on this site a year or two ago and has had a new valve fitted (cannot remember what, but I payed around £14 for it) since and plenty of useage. Very powerful - runs off mains - and can really crank the sound up. Nice variety of tones, too. ! I payed around £50 for it and would love to get as much of that back as possible. Comes fully boxed with manual and spare rubber feet - currently vecro'd for a board. £30 anyone? Thanks!
11. Coming anywhere near Kent? Looking at the little crush for my sisters birthday this weekend. If you wouldn't mind letting me know ASAP on 0sevenseven42612051 Thanks in advance, Ben
12. Where abouts are you in Hertfordshire? I may be driving sort of that way (if necessary) from Canterbury to Norfolk. Really nice looking amp, would you be able to meet somewhere on that journey? I'd normally take the A12. Looking to get a practice amp as a family present to my lil' sister.... for her birthday THIS weekend! If you can sort me a good deal, try me on 0sevenseven42612051 Thanks, Ben
13. East Anglia, what a co-incidence! I'm looking for a practice amp for my little sister - it's her birthday this weekend. A bit high on price for my budget, good luck with the sale. B
14. Hi, My name's Ben, I'm 20 and I'm an alcholic.... The last bit's a lie, but love to play a bit of music (pretty much any style is a good'un). I've moved to Kent for 12months for a placement in my industry year at uni (Brunel West london) and plan on getting at least a jam on in that time, ideally leading to a few gigs and what not. I play a USA Fender P/J special in white with a red/tortoise shell pickguard. Other things that might be handy include the ability to strum a guitar and attempt harmonising.... very modest about my music as I'm pretty busy and havn't had the time to sit down and enjoy it for a while. Sooooo if you like the sound of me and fancy a jam or signing me up then get in contact! I'd even take a role as a rhythm/backing vocalist or frontman.... just get me a fecking gig and a crowd and lets have some fun and earn some money along the way. Big love, Ben 07742 612 051 if you think you're hard enough.
