I've just switched the saddle back around on my 735A on the B and it's made a massive difference to its punch and clarity. Crazy! I'm debating switching them all over, but that might end up being a bit too much of a clank machine for my liking on the higher strings. How are people currently running the setup on their bridges? What are your thoughts on the reverse saddles?

When i next change stings i might have a go at reversing them all on my P34, just to see it if does make a difference. I do hope it doesn't give a Badass II effect though.

By the way, i saw your Hercules folding stand review last night and have ordered one just based on that 🙂

Ah amazing! Great little stand. I don't go anywhere without it. Thank you for watching!

Do report back if you go for the all switched option!

No problem, you have a good channel. I almost  had the 735a off Bas, but was too slow to grab it 🙂

It worked out well for both of us.

Well, the BB’s continue to be a firm favourite...but upon reflection while the sound of the attitude with a mudbucker wasn’t what I needed; I loved the feel and shape.

So this is happening.

Back to 4 Yamahas.

Ive had my P34 for a week now, and love it to bits. Not had a lot of time to play it this week, but i can honestly say i had had no ‘i wish it....” moments, its the most complete bass ive ever owned.

Ive struggled to take any phots that make it look interesting, its hard to photograph at home and, well, we all know what it looks like.

Still, a few to prove i have it lol.

I used my 1025 for it's first recording session today. The engineer was remarking on how modern it sounded and it wasn't until I heard the first track played back that I understood what he meant. Even just using the P,  it had a less vintage quality to it than I thought. I played a track with an old Tokai P with cruddy dead strings which sounded more old school. I still preferred the Yammy for playability and tone though.

There's a red RBX760A in Shaftesbury for £250 which I happen to know was bought from a local charity shop for £120. I was tempted but don't really need it and the hardware was quite tarnished.

At £120 it was fairly priced, £250 is a tad unrealistic.
