Putney Half Moon. Haven’t seen Parker in 45 years. Now the Rumour were a band... That looked a great gig Mick. I’ve been a massive Graham Parker & Nick Lowe fan since the 70’s, seen GP & The Rumour many times. Caught them a few years ago in Leeds when they briefly got back together, I think with the original line up including Andrew Bodnar on bass. Always enjoyed Martin Belmont and Brinsley Schwarz on guitar duties too. If I’d known I would have tried to get to Putney for this one - to my shame I wasn’t aware that Bob Andrews had passed away in June, very sad. Many thanks for the set lists and pics Mick. 1 Quote

Pete It would have been great to have had you there! And Andy Bodnar, who apparently has health issues. Steve Goulding held it all together as great drummers do! The official backstage pic below. I am still buzzing… 1 Quote

I had a long conversation with him, years ago, when he was also the amp tech at Chandler’s. A thoroughly nice gent and a mine of information on the workings of amplifiers. Also saw him with GP at the Marquee and Mean Fiddler, back in the late ‘80s; great player. 2 Quote

cybertect Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A busy week next week: Monday is Emma Swift at The Borderline, her hubby Robyn Hitchcock aboard the replica of Drake's Golden HInde in Southwark on Wednesday, then Gob Nation all-day festival at The Dome in Tufnell Park on Saturday, including Ex-Vöid and The Tubs on the bill. Treated myself to a fancy seat Back in the smoking days that was one of the non-fancy non-smoking areas, which is how a mate and I got to see Betty Carter from about that vantage point. Probably still a lifetime top ten gig. 1 Quote
