What are you listening to right now?

Recommended Posts

The Quiet Life deluxe from Japan.  Honestly couldn't be assed in paying £50 for a box set, it's dropped onto digital formats today.

I'm a member of a couple of Japan Facebook groups, it's been amazing reading the comments there about this release.

End of the day, I've got everything that's on it in one shape or form, even the bootleg of the 1980 audience recording that forms the second (albeit different) 'Live At Budokan' release from the band in the last six months, and folks, it is a bootleg recording and the quality is quite dreadful, but hey, if cassette recordings from nearly 40 years ago (oh, imagine the quality), where the surrounding screams of the female teen-Japanese audience is more prominent in the mix than the music ('Mickeeeeeeey', 'David-saaaaaaan') is your thing, then knock yourself out.

Mrs fosters. - Self-surgery

Chelsea Wolfe and drummer Jess Gowrie playing some very 90s inspired work, genre is a bit vague but it's very good

The album art is NSFW mind

It’s a Levy day today ☝️

BL always takes me back to 2006 when a DJ pal put together a band and had us learn one of the great man's albums. We then gigged with the DJ. As he faded the track out we took over, then after a suitable time he brought up the next tune.

I miss that guy, and owning a music venue. When I was in my 30s it felt as if anything was possible. We would regularly form bands for just one or two gigs. Every other punter was a musician - or so it seemed.

Our Christmas and NYE ensemble bands were something to behold!

I will never understand why Casady is not more listened to. Superb stuff from the Master (there's plenty more out there...). The others aren't bad, either..!

Best listened to as complete albums, of course, even with the 'strange' stuff. Naturally, the segue between tracks is interrupted by the separation into files, but still. B|

Very clever, but if she sang me to sleep I’d have nightmares 😁
