i'm happy to bring anything from my sig for anyone to try if they fancy ?

The TC BG250 would be great. I`m sure many of us have looked at these a few times on-line, in the flesh - make that wood/tolex - would be great.

Anyone left-handed at this bash? If I'm the only one, I won't bother taking a bass, and instead concentrate on listening, socialising, taking photos and writing Basschat blogs :)

Bring a bass and play it! :-)

Right, I'm booked for the day :)

Happy to bring anything I own.

Current list of stuff that might be of interest to people could be:
Fodera Monarch
Ritter Cora (choice of 2)
Celinder J Update
Alleva Coppolo (choice of 2)
Dingwall AB1
Roscoe SKB
Fender '63 Jazz

All are 4 strings.

There's a few others kicking around but these all seem a bit different to the current list. I can probably bring about 4-5 so happy to accommodate whatever people fancy really :)

We've really tried to pull out the stops for our first Bass Bash - along with BigJim and Lozz196 we've managed to arrange for Laurence Cottle - http://laurencecottle.com/ - to facilitate "How the Bass fits in a big band and other situations" and Spy Austin - http://www.livesoundagency.com/html/_spy_austin.html - to facilitate "Life on the Road " an insight into living out of a suitcase.

We're also hoping for a luthier to be available for on site set ups, etc.

Hope you all enjoy the day..

After taking my Yakult every morning I have the maximum anti-GAS immunity so I'll only bring the one Bass, the Cort GB74(natural). It's a J/M switchable bass. Noise from my fingers, an Ashdown 5-15 and errr maybe a pedal. Whoop, sorry about the quote marks.

Ents Manager from the Uni of Herts is a bass player, they're on board with this now and putting a link on the Uni website so there is a possibility of future gigs for BCers' bands...you'll be able to speak to him yourselves if you come..

 • 2 weeks later...

I sent some info about the event to our local paper - Welwyn Hatfield Times - They printed the info I sent almost in it's entirety...I tried to find the article on the website without any luck...it's on page 39 if anybody can retrieve the article...

See you all in 3 weeks...
