[/quote] +1 Story I heard on this many years ago is that the original FGTH band were big fans of Bow Wow Wow and that the bass line from 'Pleasure Dome' is a bit of a steal from a bassline in a song called 'Elimination dancing' by Bow Wow Wow (written and played by the amazing Leigh Gorman).. I love the FGTH album and have always thought Trevor Horn is an amazing producer, but there are some similarities.. I'd start with a bright mid-scooped preset that I'm sure your B9 has, with maybe a hint of chorus. But FX aside, for my money the most important aspect of getting the authentic 2 tribes sound is the bass and guitar getting their parts and timing absolutely nailed. Now stick fours on the floor (that's 4s on the kick drum for you non-groovers) - then watch the punters feet immediately start tapping. In the mid '80's they would set you back FIFTY GRAND Just think think what you could buy for that money back then or even now! No wonder it was mainly the top studios who had them or big established names. Engineers probably had nightmares about a cup of coffee going over one...
