    The best advice I can give is to invest in a decent pair of monitors for yourselves and also to leave the trickiest songs until the audience are hammered.

    I'm the other way - I've moved from pick to fingers. Easier to do string-jumping but harder to keep rhythm, I'd say.

    All of the live videos I've seen of Del Ray show her as very uncomfortable on stage, no presence at all. That's the real shame.

    One of the reasons I love Peter Gabriel's Growing Up DVD so much is because of the amount of attention the crew get. There's a man who knows how important other people are to his stage show.

    Always the best way to do it. If I didn't go out of a weekend I'd save about £20 a week. £80 a month isn't to be sniffed at!
