mep Posted July 6, 2012 Share Posted July 6, 2012 I've never been a fan of them and was disappointed at some festival coverage of them in the past. Although our band does a cover of Fire which I really enjoy playing and doing the Backing vocals. At first I was was not into the original and it was down to their sound and pace. Chrisabian Posted July 7, 2012 Share Posted July 7, 2012 (edited) I used to be addicted to Kasabian's first album, they had a very distinct, sort of eerie sound which I was hooked on. They had some fantastic basslines to boot. Their live gigs really had a big impact on me looking back...they were the first band I saw live and it has stuck with me ever since. However, after the departure of Chris Karloff I felt their sound changed quite drastically and I really couldn't get into their new material at all. It's a pity as I really did love them.
