2. respect. all instruments melodies nailed. fantastic solo interpretation. great for busking, but probably not in a band context.
3. what, my hair ? cheers. as you can tell, we have a zero video budget, but plan on getting more creative with zero. a big up to Ian at The Palmerston Arms in Peterborough for hosting us. awesome beer selection, well worth a visit. plus they have their own Ukelele band. a proper pub !
4. decided to grow my hair now. that Micheal Bolton look for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRCYGIqU1fM
5. the 1980's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBFrXBlW1SU
6. i'm going to slush in here and also admit to him being a major influence. aswell as the obvious hits, here's an underrated gem of a tune with a simple and hypnotic b-line. always love this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lp7m2sApVd0
7. if you like to do the odd bit of 'dirty slapping' a bit of compression before envelope filter helps to trim the nasty spikes off. i also prefer dirt before filter, for the same reasons as xgsjx. edit : a guitarist i work with prefers filter before dirt, so i guess it's which sound you want to achieve that matters.
8. ESSENTIAL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcACvjXuclA
9. WARNING: Not safe for sensitive types. sing along now,... 'to save the Ozone and the Earth,...' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfQW6-SiS6s
10. >> 5:20 to avoid the long-winded (but interesting), vocal intro. i.e. cut to the FUNK. not really JB, but the man has a good voice too ..
11. Tex Mex. go for >>3 mins if you don't like the vox. seriously funking groove.
12. as i know nothing, i'd say there was a 50/50 chance of it all working out. just keep the ouput low and try it. see, it wasn't that bad .... was it ??
13. Victims Family. top bass-playing. imo. Have a Nice Day !!!
14. i kept the filter, and passed on the distortion.
15. edit : explicit lyrical content. let him sue this.
16. think i remember that Ant has/had his Pierce mounted on a pedalboard ?
17. a great alternative to the Moog filter is the Iron Ether Xerograph (a deluxe option includes envelope filter). it's amazing for Dub, and has an expression input, coupled with the benefit of a small footprint.
18. do i win ? prize for the first who guesses the reversed sample in the intro.
19. ALL BASS. STINKY !!!
20. Agreed. great band ! hope they get the attention they deserve
21. as others have said, spend time tinkering with it, and it's a great piece of kit for the price. if it had an additional fx loop for other pedals, it would be pure win.
22.
I'm going to take an informed guess and say that tech metal probably won't be to the liking of most BC members! But for those of you who are into the heavier stuff, I highly recommend you check out this band. They are absolutely amazing live. Alternatively, if you prefer something more chilled, Tesseract are always a cracker. Nothing's better than a 28 minute song! Although if you don't fancy all half an hour, skip to 19:20 for a good snippet.
thankyou.
23. it was out for a while. then i got paranoid about the NSA and everything. now it's back to normal. and now i'm paranoid about the NSA and everything. lol.
