Spikyhedgehog
Haha, you should change your actual name to that. You will get similar status to Madonna, and all the other single named people out there. Do it!
Bass Culture
BC is 44, short, balding and at least slightly overweight. Despite have a relatively responsible job, has yet to work out how to insert an avatar in his signature. Been playing bass for not far short of 30 years. Nearest brush with fame was his band appearing in a 'Top Ten Worst Band Names of All Time' poll in a Middlesex Poly student magazine in the mid-80's when playing with Lord Lucan and the Lookalikes back in Colchester, from whence he originally came. Lives in Chester with Wifey and works in Wrexham (hi, beerdragon!). Desperately tries to make up for singular failure to achieve any kind of attention through his (self-styled) bass playing virtuosity by participating in amateur acting. Thereby finding another pastime he achieve lasting lack of recognition...Great personality though! BC. xxx
Alun
Alun Vaughan - Welsh, bald, could be thinner. Mild obsession with meatball marinaras from Subway. Owner of too many basses, attempted solo bassist, jazzer and occasional prog rocker, should know better. Prone to poor typing and self confessed theory geek. And Dood, I am the real Tyrannosaurus Alun Cheers, Alun

DaBassMonsta
BlueBear, played bass for a couple of years then stopped playing anything for about 7 years. Just got back into playing around February, had my first ever audition last week and actually got the gig! Now have a bit of a GAS problem which should be cured in the next couple of weeks. wizbat
WIZBAT Usually found in my little garden shed tinkering on jap cars and bikes, building and modifying guitars and trying to perfect a fully working flux capacitor. Also the bass hooligan for the band LIMESHARK Latest achievement: getting a antoniotsai bass to play like a dream and now strung f# to c (I am invincible!!!) obbm
obbm - shortened from OldBlueBassMan. At the time I registered I was playing for a band called Old Blue Moses. Started playing bass in 1961 at age of 15 Still going strong in 2007 Retired from the day job and now make cables for discerning musicians Full story here I thought I'd found the ultimate set-up until I joined Bassworld and the Gas got me. RichBowman
Rich - Another geordie at heart, but has long since lost the accent. Have been playing bass for about 13 years or so, and I currently own (and always will) a lovely Shuker Single Cut 5 String, which is far too good a bass to be in my possesion. I'm in two bands, one covers, and one original and covers with a nice lounge twist. I apparently have Mekon-like fingers. Rich
Alien
Alien (noun) A shy and retiring creature, which likes to remain inconspicuous by standing on stages and making a lot of noise. Can often be found in a place known only as 'the shed', where he whiles away the hours turning piles of old junk into useful objects (or is that useful objects into piles of old junk? My memory's not what it was) Alien has been producing low frequency vibrations for about half his life, and for the most part doesn't seem to get much better at it. He can occasionally be seen fronting PsychoMojo, a three piece covers band, and depping for pretty much anyone who asks (because he's a bit of a tart that way.) I got a new Peavey BXP 6 weeks ago and I'm currently GASsing for a 51P RI... can't afford it so will probably have to relent and just get a new MIM P bass instead... then I'm planning to de-fret my Encore starter... stewblack
Stew 43, alcoholic, bass player, husband, father, licensee. Talks too much. When not playing bass goes for bike rides and dog walks. Likes watching peregrine falcons from Yat rock and reading. Will write a book one day. Sober for 15 months now. Nearly got the perfect rig, when it is finished will take apart and let the gas run it's course.
john_the_bass
the bass; john AKA "johnny two gigs" on account of regularly trying to play two gigs on two different bills in two different bands. Usually in two different counties. Learnt to play the guitar years ago (and still do in a covers band) and picked up the bass 2 years ago for 27brigade because I was "bored". Quality and quantity of bass gear now far outweighs guitar gear. Currently want a Les Paul, Sandberg Basic 4, Ric 4003, G&L L2000 but have run out of space and money (money mostly). Always plays all the right notes but not necessarily always in the right order. Edited May 18, 2007 by john_the_bass

Bassworm
Michael John Edmunds was born, but refuses to use that as an excuse. Despite being Welsh, he has managed to grow up a reasonably well-adjusted bloke and not at all interested in sheep, coal or male voice choirs. Mike is an indifferent, and completely talentless bass guitarist and double bassist, who compensates by buying expensive gear he can't afford, thus depriving his family of food and shelter. Mike has been described by no less a cultural icon than Charlotte Church as "Never y'eard of 'im". When not thrusting parts of his body into other peoples aeroplanes, Mike can be found in a darkened room thinking of excuses why he isn't practicing his bass licks and rueing the day he got a real job. Mike never does any DIY. If he can get off his lazy arse, Mike will be the new bassist with blues band Crosseyed Cat. Treeb
Brian ... 43 year old Scot with ever growing baldy bit ... played bass in the early '80 in a prog band ... had to sell all due to financial woes around '85 ... picked up a bass again in 2005 with a view to getting a load of practice in before my son was born ... but he arrived early and scuppered my plans! Unable to plonk much recently due to aforementioned son and working away from home too much ... but now things are starting to look up

lukeward2004
We all start off in the water. Some of us will manage to grab a surfboard and glide effortlessly to the beach. Others may find some other kind of metaphorical boat. The rest of us will have to swim. Sometimes the water will be rough, sometimes the water will be smooth, and not everyone will make it to land. Whilst you're in the water, why not take a look at what's around you- dive down, look at the reef, look at the fish. Maybe you will spend time trying to see a shark, only to get eaten. Maybe a jellyfish will sting you. You might even drown. No matter what happens, you will experience something that those who took the surfboards and boats will never. Luke Ward's music is one of the beautiful reefs that only a few people will chance across. His music is the brightly coloured fish that brush against your toes. His music is one of life's pleasures that most will overlook. Stop and look around you. Luke Ward is not really a cheesy metaphor, he is in fact a real life human who lives in a town called Windsor. He shares this town with a few interbred foreigners, and the Royal family. He started out playing covers in pubs and clubs several years ago, and proved so popular that he was able to introduce his own songs into his set. These were the songs that are yet to fling him into supernatural stardom… erm, I mean international stardom. Don't get me wrong - Denny is not a ghost. Although it has been rumoured that he likes to say 'woo-hoo, yoo-hoo' a lot. (Please check out the lyrics section in order to understand this amusing comment). He is also somewhat of a local celebrity, you can go anywhere in the local music scene, mention his name and be asked to leave. I mean, mention his name and you will discover how people warm to the charm of his voice and strength of his persona.
lukeward2004
On a serious note, Luke Ward in a nutshell: 22, plays warwick basses and various custom J/P basses, too much gear and not enough talent, been playing 6 years, tries to cover his inability to play by pulling silly faces and throwing himself around in the "groove" of said song. Plays for The Natalie long Band, and is currently trying to cobble together a Funk band so he can indulge in self gratification via his bass.
