quite a good little test, and challenging too in bits, especially the musical grouping.

although, when it asks what your main instrument, typically Bass guitar isn't an option... bit crap aint it?

Quite a workout! I did better than I thought I would.

Enthusiasm 67%
Perception 99%
Emotional 6%
Social 56%
Curiosity 78%

Scored 16/18 in Match the Beat, 7/9 at high accuracy in Tap to the Beat (one medium and one low where I got the time signature completely wrong and was tapping out something else, oops!) and 9/12 in Melody Memory (way better than I thought I'd do). The grouping thing is a bit arbitrary.

That's really interesting. Here's how I did.

[attachment=68410:Muisc.jpg]

And as far as raw numbers are concerned
Enthusiasm - 92%
Perception - 100%
Emotional - 100%
Social - 100%
Curiosity - 100%

Match the beat - 11/18. Tap the beat - 6 high, 2 medium, 1 low. Melody matching - 10 right, 2 wrong.

Phil

PS. Was a bit drunk when I did it. So match to the beat was slightly dodgy.

Got High on everything except Social and Creativity, which makes sense seeing as I'm not in an originals band and lock myself up in the bedroom for hours practicing.

The matching music sound was annoying, some sounds could have been anything. But did well with the beat clips

Cool test!

High for everything (99% perception, 99% enthusiasm, 100% emotional, 92% social and 94% curiosity)

The scores on the doors:

Group the music
3 jazz with 1 hip hop
3 hip hop with 1 pop
3 pop with 1 jazz
4 rock!

13/18 on match the beat

5 medium and 4 low tap to the beat - what?

11/12 melody memory

Judging by the way the BBC dealt with bass players in their series 'I'm in a Rock 'n' Roll Band' that does not suprise me!

Not really sure what the point of these tests are but anyway my scores are :
Match the beat 10/18
Tap to the beat 4 high 3 medium and 3 low
Melody Memory 11/12

enthusiam for music 98%
Musical Perception 98%
Emotional Connection 78%
Social Creativity 28%
Musical Curiosity 94%

The one critisim I have is that it talks a lot about singing - I cant sing so of course I'm nervous about singing in public which would skew the result somewhat ( although in fairness I'm nervous about playing the bass in public as well so well call it a score draw :) )

Here's mine:

Musical Enthusiasm: 96% (High)
Musical Perception: 56% (Medium)
Emotional Connection: 51% (Medium)
SOCIAL (WHY did I put Musical? ;-))Creativity: 80% (High)
Musical Curiosity: 71% (Medium)

Group The Music: I matched ALL 4 of the Jazz clips.
Match The Beat: 14 out of 18.
Tap To The Beat: 6 with High Accuracy, 3 with Medium Accuracy.
Melody Memory: 10 out of 12.

Not too bad I think.

I didn't do to well on some of the questions because I really can't sing. I scored low on a number of the tap along questions, I'm guessing because they were in compound time and I didn't know if they wanted quavers or dotted crotchets.

All those sessions at AIR gone to waste...

ENTHUSIASM FOR MUSIC 90%
MUSICAL PERCEPTION 99%
EMOTIONAL CONNECTION 89%
SOCIAL CREATIVITY 88%
MUSICAL CURIOSITY 78%

group the music - misplaced 1 hip hop with rock and 1 rock with hip hop!
match the beat 16/18
tap beat 7 high 2 medium
melody memory 9/12 <-- found I had to concentrate hardest on this. The melodies were pretty uninspiring .. had to listen hard esp with the key change. Some were blindingly obvious but others were very similar indeed.

Was an interesting test.

Thanks for the link
