Yay! Poll time. How many basses do you own?

Already voted/posted (#22) - my signature (below) shows the same 6 basses.
I acquired a Tokai Jazz Sound last year that had a couple of issues which I've since had sorted. Also had it converted to fretless.
I also have an Aria AMB-50 electro-acoustic bass. So it's 8 basses in total.

Here's the Tokai:

And the Aria:

Good poll. Surprised me just how many players had several basses.
When younger i had one bass up till i had two. :)

If you're like me, you hold on to your cheap 4-string student bass for sentimental reasons (I would never sell it, and as a L/H model it would have a very limited market); then buy a good 4-stringer, then feel the need for a 5-stringer, then for an upright. I'm at the stage when I feel the need for a 5-string upright, but can't afford one yet (esp. as I need a L/H one). Such is life :)

only 3 at the moment, but I have various guitars too. For me it's a space issue more than anything

Oooh! Can we include guitars as well?

Right, let me see now... that's, er, 7.... plus 10.... take away 3... carry the 1,............... 15! :)

3

1 x 1973 3ts Fender Precision with Badass/QP/Schallers - had it for 34 years

1x 199something Blue Flower Fender Precision 54 reish with badass/QP - had it for 3 or 4 years - so the above can stay safely away from the manky toilets I play most weekends

1x Shuker custom - a posh and lightweight Stingrayesque jobby really - had it 5 or 6 years now

Gone this last 12 months or so

Status 3000 headless with Shuker top - missed but it wasn't earning it's keep

Fender Fretless Precision - nice to have but just sat in the rack doing bugger all

Epiphone Explorer - good riddance to bad rubbish , though it did earn me a shed load along the way.

In my day you only had 4 strings.
How i managed to have 6 strings I'll never know.
Don't even know what the other two are for :)
