  1. Yeah custom lynx are great and very well priced, all our xlr and gtr leads are made by these guys, no problems, lots of gigs https://custom-lynx.co.uk/
  2. it has some great custom presets from a load of famous producers I've never heard of, but they sound great
  3. I was about to suggest The Waves SSL EV2 plugin for $39 but then I see you're using the SSL Interface. I'm also using reaper with The Audient iD4, this with the Waves SSL EV plugin gives some wonderful tones. Might we worth downloading the Demo to try?
  4. don't worry, as long as your back holds out you'll probably never go back
  5. As per the title. Is anyone having success with this setup? I've looked around t'internet with no real luck. Currently using a jamMan looper to trigger backing tracks but it's a bit of a faff to change key (and not instantaneous) I don't really want to lug a laptop to gigs, would rather use my phone or iPad, garageband would be perfect if it could work.
  6. got my lad one of these, only paid around £90, he loves it. Apparently it comes with loads of decent synths. I got this one as it has better quality keys, most in the price range are a bit rubbish but these are more solid. https://www.arturia.com/products/hybrid-synths/minilab-mkii/overview
  7. those Pearl pedals now fetch a good price. https://reverb.com/uk/p/pearl-ch-02
  8. isn't the Boss TU3 also an active buffer? I heard somewhere all boss pedals are buffers?
  9. claim to "fame", stagedived at a rockbitch gig in Brighton, crowd parted like the red sea and I fell flat on me face!
  10. well he did order the VIPee ticket...
  11. have one, sounds fab.
  12. very sorry to hear this awful news, all the very best wishes for the poor lady.
  13. I have the phaser, it's awesome but I rarely have the opportunity to use it.
  14. ooo you tease! Don't blame you mind, it's lovely.
  15. it would be less strain on your PC if you used the stomp for hardware effects.
  16. .then not...then again. .then not...then again. .then not...then again. .then not...then again. .then not...then again. .then not...then again.
  17. Ozone elements going for free to celebrate 20 years or something. It seems to be an equaliser, downloaded it and it looks pretty decent. https://www.izotope.com/en/products/downloads/ozone_elementsv9.html

  19. you use more than ONE string?
  20. yep my preamp also doubles as a DI (although I use the DI out the back of my Markbass these days) so it's for emergency use only. It goes at the end of my signal chain/pedals. Tuner goes in first.
  21. When you say your compressor on the Ampeg doesn't seem to do much, that's kind of what they do. There's a very subtle change in most compressors (that I've used). I'd avoid the Boss CS-3. Here's the best site to find out about all things err "compressory" http://www.ovnilab.com/ I use the Boss LMB 3 after reading the reviews, cheap as chips and much better than the CS 3 http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/bosslmb3.shtml Alternatively as above the spectracomp gets great reviews.
  22. one day..in the not too far distant future..someone will actually do a demo in a band scenario with all the different strings rather than a completely pointless bedroom demo. Not saying that's the case here BTW...
  23. Just came across this, surprised it hadn't crossed my radar before. Ok it's a guitarists pedal really. We're getting him one next week to do some Frampton and Nazareth stuff. It's only £85 quid which is cheap compared to what talkboxes used to be. No filthy slobber hose needed either! https://www.dv247.com/en_GB/GBP/TC-Helicon-Talkbox-Synth/art-GIT0042339-000
