2.
Someone needs to go to Japan now and kidnap Marty Friedman. yes.
Thank you
3.
i'd be into this however i'm in manchester so that's a pickle. i'll be in london at the end of march so if it's still available then i'll have a gander. doubt it will be though.
It's not moving quickly....
4. I have a tweed cab. I recently purchased a Chocolate thunder'headcase' from another Basschatter. I was gonna go for a chocolate thunder cab in exchange,if this setup didn't match. Looks cool enough , so I'll keep what I've got.
5.
The thing is, there's no chance of joining a band for a long while yet, what with gcse's. and i think i'm right in believing a 200watt amp would be well above my price range. but there's every chance i could be wrong about anything, which is why im asking
I think you've got a good chance of getting a good deal on here. Don't forget ,you can sell /trade your small amp you have now I know I said 'band situation' , but you know how loud drummers/guitarists are Even when jamming. Good luck with the gcse's and amp
6.
Well, I've nearly finished my project. Just waiting on strings and a headstock decal. Does anyone know how i can easily darken the rosewood? Let me know what you think.
Yeah,you're gettin' there
7. Don't get anything less than 200 watts ,if you're gonna be playing in a band situation. You've obviously done the right thing by posting here Have a look in the for sale section. Ashdown/peavey/hartke etc....
8. What can I say about Megadeth?? Quite alot actually... 1st saw them being completely blown off stage at the Hammy o by Flotsam&jetsam (1987?) Then had the misfortune of them being in the way at the Monsters of rock('87 ?) ' (The following week I saw a different M O R lineupi n Germany. Apparently, Mustaine nearly died at donington (literally ) Testament replaced them and were one of the best bands on the bill that day. Fast forward to the mid 2000's, and I saw Megadeth twice at the Asstoria.(correct spelling ) 1st timew ,they were great ,playing all of Peace sells, and more. The last time, they were hideously bad. It was Mustaine & hired band. More life in a crematorium. The behind the music programme on vh1 was good tho'. Slayer are a much better band tho', and are always consistent. When the big 4 do their stuff later this year, I think Megadeth will not be as good as even Anthrax. As for Mr. Lomenzo, did I see him at a White Lion gig at the Old Marquee back in the '80s?
9.
There's a Dean stylist cabbie here on a famous auction site if anyone's looking for one, ending in 5 days. Collection from Abbots Langley in Hertfordshire only though, which will probably put a lot of people off. I'm in no way affiliated with whoever's selling it. Although I do have a couple of Dean basses, and think that generally as a brand they're underrated. H&R
I've asked the seller a question ,and am awaiting reply .
10. What about a shortscale bass, like Mustang/musicmaster etc or a headless as already mentioned?
11. What about a bass pod,or similar to hook to the p a ?
12. He's probably depressed by all the bum notes he's been playing. I used to have a huge OHM amp/cab 120 watts or so. It was sooooooo loud. My cat used to sleep in the cab. Sounded great, but thank heavens for portability. Far too big to lug around the tube etc.
13. I have an aEden combo for sale, depends on where you're located
14. .....after seeing them again last night , that's all I can say really
15. I remember being a little naive , and hungry for an effects unit back in the mid 90s. (effects prior to then were more or less guitar only ) I used to be a regular reader of the 2 bass mags then. I ended up buying the Boss ME8-B, which got a better rating than the Digitech Bass Whammy. I found it fun in the bedroom ,but the instructions were a pain in the ass! I got the guitar version of the Whammy sent to me in error,so I sent it back,as I hadn't a clue how to use it. I still have the Boss unit, and may try using it with my band for a bit of fun. From what I see now, you get better /more features for less dosh(the Zoom B21.U for instance) Computers have made bass playing more fun (toneport gx etc) you get virtual pedalboards, and some interfaces let you record too! One thing I used to love about AKAI : Their cassette Decks!!
16.
But it's alot easier to just have you location on your profile. You only have to do it once, and you'll never forget or have to write it in any title
my location is on there
17.
So you'd put "Collection only from Twickenham" in the box under the title of your thread. Easy, surely? J.
yes
18. Well, on the left is where I live. When I sell something like an amp/bass over say £100.00 I prefer to meet person, they try out, like it,deal done. No whining afterwards.
19.
Like this I suppose..... Mike
I like that. is that an 8 string?
