2.
Monsters of Rock 1988 Helloween Megadeth Guns n Roses David Lee Roth Kiss Iron Maiden still have the tee shirt.
I was there.Never forget the stampede when Guns came on,seriously dangerous. I was wondering why Megadeth were so bad,but Mr.Mustaine nearly died afterwards apparently. I was a fan of Helloween, but I wasn't too impressed with them there. The rest were good, and Maiden played a blinder
3. I remember seeing this lot ,on the 'crazy Tights' tour at wembley. There was a post strike(no internet in those days).Lots of empty seats. They were appalling, and were going through the motions at best. They couldn't wait to get off ,and we just thought 'good riddance'. Paul Stanley was so irritatating, touching his hair as if he just washed it. Saw them at the Monsters of rock ,Donington/Cologne the same year , and they were much better.
4. ....or useless. I was considering getting one of these, but I don't know if there is any room for my Aggie head to' breathe' . So, should I get one,or leave it??
5. If you love it,and are willing to spend another £200.00 approx, you could try S.I.M.S or the like. Or get loads of stickers
6. Shame , hopefully the locals could make the place rat infested and get the place back to a music venue.
7. Haven't used them yet,but it's nice to know that there is great customer service alive and kicking
8. That's a girl's drink that is
9.
I had a link to this one on my thread http://www.liftruck.co.uk/ruxxac-carts.html But the price...!
Pricey.......
10.
Guys, check out the trolleys at B&Q, Homebase, etc.
Thanks CB will do
11.
Loads of places will supply casters BUT if you are fitting them to the base of the cab have you considered how far you would have to bend down to push it? I'm looking for a sack trolley to put mine onto.
Cheers for the quick reply Warwick Yeah, forgot about that. If I was the size of Ronnie Dio ,or even corbett castors would have been better. Think you're right about the trolley. A while back, a nice BC sent me a link to a good one. Then , my computer had problems making me lose everything..........
12. I'd rather get a Dean Taxi bass....more cheerful, less cluttered
13. A couple of things have been nagging me lately. (I don't have a wife) I was wondering ,regarding the DB112 Cabinet whether I could get some castors for it. If so, where? (Those narrow prison like spaces in practice rooms are getting to me) Regarding the Head, are those 'Head Cases' of any use? Can the amp breathe? If so, I would like to get a Tweed one. Please advise Cheers
14. I met Cliff once, and I asked him about the effects I should buy. 'Get a phaser' was his reply
15. Nice....... I was after a GK setup a while ago. If the Aguilar never came up,I would've probably got something like that
16. For that price, go for Hohner jack . Or you may get a Washburn Status off ebay for around £250.00 max. I forgot, the Washburn may not be 'punk' : enough
17. Cool! If it was a Yellow one,I would have it. I've got 1 black bass already Bumpy bump anyhow. This will go soon......
18. Thanks Chaps I'll stick tomy Aguilar after all . I'd be mad to sell it . I wouldn't let anybody else use it. You can probaly see from my sig, that I have enough to be getting on with I was contemplating , selling 1 or 2 effects ,but after your input I think I'll keep'em for now. Cheers
19. Wow! A white hamburger bass...une rareo Love the Telecaster basses. That green refin looks lovely ,tho'slightly overpriced. I see they have a full bodied Hamburger bass(same as mine).Price isn't too bad. Wish the value of the Euro was the same as 2 years ago
20. I've been looking at some line 6 Combo's/Heads ,which have adjustable effects . On their website . Are these any good? I was wondering if these would do somebody, who wants to travel light, not have to worry about losing the bottom end,and use effects sparingly for a couple of songs in their live set. Looks like they wouldn't be fiddly like effects units, and saves all the faffing around. Or is the quality ,not very good? What do you think people?
21. I think that out of the three ''competition stripe'' series , this nice orangey colour is the rarest. These were available in red/blue/orange from '68-'71 if I remember correctly. If this was in 'showroom' condition, it would probably go for around £7-800.00 Being a BC I would have offered around £600.00 and have been very happy. This one looks cool in a punk way It's missing the rubber thingy's in the saddle. (shouldn't be too hard to find) Not sure of the value of yours tho' . Why not keep it,hang up or something? Looks nice...
22. Maybe a short scale bass,or better still-Headless!! What about a Steinberger Spirit, or Hohner jack?......
