1. God,I wish it was that time again. Happy times , long hair loadsa gigs etc. That's one thing about the American bands back then , they tried stuff like BC rich, Jackson, charvel etc.

7.
every person that you guys have mentioned were a superstar, but really there all now underground... now we have.... Rhiannah, Lady Gaga, erm i cant think of any more.. i rest my case.. i dont want to be negative but musicians dont have to work hard anymore.. its so easy to make music.. and its so easy to get ears to listen to the sh*t... in the 60/70s there were bands like the beatles at number 1 and steely dan in the US charts... whats happened.? there is no special music in main stream anymore... ive lost hope.. im goin underground
Interesting;) I tend to listen to older stuff(tangerine dream, swamp terrorists etc.) on my iPhone these days. Of the later bands , I will probably get Toy, Danko Jones, royksopp and Air . Can't see me wanting a whole album of any of them. Technology has spoiled that imho
8. Proxy predictive text ! Hope you understand
9.
I've only giggied with it a couple of times, mainly as its so heavy!!! It's also my "best" bass and I'm keen to keep it in good condition so usually use my Aerodyne for most of our gigs as I don't mind that getting the odd ding.
You're very sensible years ago, he was (and of course still is ) one of my heroes. I used to see maiden in the early days, and he was awesome. To cut a long story short, I got. A hondo2 copy of a precision from mummy's catalogue . It was basically a log of firewood . When my friend , who was teaching me said. I could buy my first 'proper bass' he recommended then washburn status . A it odd considering I hated ink/ soul etc. you can see the basses I own now since then below
10. Led zep have always been known as metal by people I've taled to from 70s - now. We know their not, but until a few years ago only a few zep tracks were played mainstream. You know what they are;) I put it down to the fact that people never understood metal properly in the early years. There were less metal bands about then
11. All of the above;) now having followed metallica since their second album, there were often rumours of 'the next metallica" Trouble is , imho they are the last group to do things on their own terms. They even got too big for their independant labels, once that album was released;) Joe bonamassa,( before that Satch) is probably the last superstar guitarist. I stand to be corrected of course.
12. Doesn't do anything on my ipad ,(what is it ?
13. You're gigging with a Steve Harris bass? Cool!
14. Will do mark. Glad you like it tho'. saw the film on bbc 4 a few weeks back, they still have it
15. Tbh, no. I have the old VHS around somewhere. I was on this tour in Donington , and the next week Germany (cologne). I pretty we'll went off maiden for a while after that. I cannot stand 'can ii play with madness'. Saw maiden again at the Clive burr benefit gig, which was the lowest (volume wise) gig I've been to. May dig the VHS out and see if I can get back into it ,
16. Haven't checked all thread yet. Stock a finger in your ear an a deck chair up your nose- spitting image Star trekking across the universe.... What's that song that Boy George stutters ' chamachameleon? Two tribes Frankie goes to Cricklewood
17. Walk like an Egyptian Video killed the radio star
18. I could be wrong here, but onVan Halens latest/ last tour Dave lee Roth had his zone marked out with carpet. ( or similar) .eddie vh had his space etc. yeah ego/ territorial issues ,)
19. Thinking of possibly selling my studio monitors, due to a space saving idea. Unfortunately I cannot do link here, but checkout the iloud. Is it too gimmicky? Are there better alternatives? Some of you have probably seen an old post of mine for making my music area more compact. Briefly, I have Mac Mini, monitors, toneport ix1 from line 6 and an ipad. With this bluetooth type speaker, there would be less wires. Of course, the other way would be for me to get a bigger desk so I can fit all of my keyboards etc. and a few cable ties. Times are hard , but maybe next year I may get the iloud. What are your thoughts?
20. I have one of these. Have a bump,)
21. Is it straight forward . Can I then delete files on my Mac mini to free up some space ? ( hard disk almost full) Cheers
