2.
Out of interest why is the lettering in the bridge now upside down? Great work by the way
I made a mistake LOL ! I just have to remove the bridge top cover and put it in the right position !
 3. I really like to work on these restorations. The #1 problem was that the rosewood wasn't really dried ! It could seems dried for a 30 year wood, but rosewood has an natural oil that comes from inside of the wood for years ! This was the reason that the clear gloss was opaque and some top wood areas were discolored . So i had to put the bass in a dry booth for one week for a perfect dry ! The neck ding was fixed with resin and I made the woven neck black sunburst with an airbrush. The white 3rd fret dot was made gain. The Status logo on the bridge was re painted . I scanned it and with a computer software I made and printed the stencil for the new logo ! Not so much work, but you have to know what are you doing ! See you soon.

 5.
Could this technique be used to remove surface scratches from a Steinberger?
Yes ! I did it on my 80's XL2 and it worked very well. It gave more life to the finish !
 6. Hello, It's a very easy and fun process, all that you have to do is to buy the following products. In US you'll pay about U$50 for all. Attention, this is just to be used on a Gloss finished bass, not Satin ! The secret is : Microfiber cloth Meguiar's Scratch X2.0 , scratch remover Meguiar's Solo - Cut & Polish Cream 86 Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Plus WAX You just read the instructions but I brief description of the process is : 1) First Cut the microfiber cloth in 3 3"x3"pieces 2) Put some drops of Meguiar's X2.0 and buff it hard in circular motion. X2.0 will eliminate all major scratches left by your nails, slap technique and hard use on the Gloss Varnish . 3) Clean and buff it with a cotton piece. 4) Put some drops of Meguiar's Solo and repeat the process in 1 and 2. But use the 2nd piece of the microfiber cloth. 5) Use the Carnauba WAX, read the instructions .Use the 3rd piece of the microfiber cloth. Do all this things at least 2 times, to have more fun it's better to do the 2nd time day after ! It will be get tired with all these physical motions ! LOL ! PS : Remove the strings before start.
