Well, as someone who is the same age as Metallica , slayer etc. I made a few decisions over the years regarding whether they were worth hanging onto. For example, I found a few old posters in the loft a few years back. Ac/dc fly on the wall tour- did I wanna keep looking at a grown man in short trouser? F@@k no! In the bin it went . Slayer reign in blood .. No tour dates , and basically just the album cover.. In the bin. Still have (I think in the loft) a green maiden killers poster. I may stick it in the kitchen. I have just found a Helloween / overkill poster in my wardrobe, due to upheaval, I forgot about it. Think that will now be framed, and put in living room. Looks better than the MOP one to be honest. Shame I haven't dot a Celtic frost one. Pics soon I guess;)

Have any of you got any framed? Do you display them in a place other than the bedroom? Have you got any that will be with you forever? Many questions;) it's just that I'm looking at my master of puppets tour poster, and am not sure what to do with it.(apart from the obvious;) it may go altogether. Really want a decent live Rammstein live one tho'. Over to you

Have you considered a short scale, or even a headless bass?

The requirements here ,have more holes than the QPR defence. Was it Charles dickens who wrote 'great expectations'? Good luck -
Mackie, Allen and Heath ?
I have one of these at home. It means i can leave things set up and i have one feed going in to my PC and one in to my iPad, via a JAM interface. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/UB502.aspx
I was thinking of this. Another basschatter has/ had one for sale. Could you elaborate on the jam interface ?
Doesn't the UX1 have two inputs? Get a DI box for your bass. Maplin do a cheap one and plug your bass into the XLR. Will save you unplugging and plugging in all the time. You can then record while playing along to the drums and mix later. Or whatever...
Now that sounds like a good idea . The ux1 has 1 guitar input and 1 xlr input. I did try the line selections for the iPad., but that didn't work . Cheers

Nearly sold this...custom xm2

All of the above really. Billy Sheehan attitude is not a rip off tho'. I haven't got one (yet) , but although expensive , he uses exactly the ones he sells. Good solid value there.
Cheers Ray I'm a bass player, it's been over 20 years since I gigged guitar, but recently I'm just loving acoustic guitar and want to strum again. I suppose it does not take much effort for me to learn my bass covers, perhaps Ill follow my urge and like you say , it may help my bass playing in other ways I don't see. Have enjoyed music for years, and I suppose over recent years I've done everything the covers bands have required on bass with trying to hard, and i have given up trying to learn anything beyond that eithesome it theory or playing technique. so picking up the acoustic and getting frustrated at my playing is not something I've really been faced with for a while, and I've got the hump and want to push on with sorting it out, even if it's just for my own personal enjoyment.
Just relax, and start noodling with the guitar;)

Heard the name only when my ex boss wanted me to do an errand for him and get an album that had elvis Costello on it.( something like that anyway) I was trying to work things out then, as elvis was punk. I was a naive 17 year old then;) Rip anyway -
Forgot to ask what do you wanna do most.? If you play bass in a band, keep it no.1 You could play guitar in your freetime
