1. The other issue with the dying dog vocals, what are the names of the bands playing. Can't read most of yhe band names . I imagine a lot of fans would walk past the posters as they wouldn't be able to see who is performing. Either that , or they'll watch a different band by mistake.
2.
I challenge anyone to listen to this video all the way through!
I just did . God , I think I've had my wisdom teeth removed again
3. Looks like the end could be nigh for Slayer. Can't do the link, but apparently Nr.Lombardo thinks he is being ripped off. He has been replaced for forthcoming Aussie tour . Then Mr. Hanneman is still recovering from his spider bite. Tom's back is still fragile. Besides all that, they haven't made a really good album since god hates us all . Everything is 'rumoured to be the next reign in blood' Losing interest in them now. At 50+ years Tom still wears leather pants ?? Kerry king looks like wwf . Anthrax still do good albums , but they have minimal original or near original members. We all know about Mustaine and ulrich. Never knew Kerry king was supposed to be up himself also. Better stop rambling now;)
4. Using GarageBand ?
5. After contemplating selling my Aguilar setup, I played it at low volume last night for the first time in about 2plus years in my living room (ontop of my settee). The sound is just awesome. This was with me playing the 8 string. Have another Aggie bump
6. All of the above is very good advice IMHO especially bensabre. Posture and physio is the way to go. Do you go to a gym ? If so, seeing a personal trainer may help. Yes your posture is wrong. See how Billy Sheehan holds the bass. That is how you play bass at all times, playing Billy's technique tho' is another thing;)
7. Gosh, I learnt it about 3 years ago ( mainly by ear). When we first gigged it , I got into wrong . Never rehearsed it enough . It's a bit tricky , coz his voice raises a pitch midway through . Haven't got tab, but have a bump, and hope Mr.Vox can handle his duties well on this song ,)
8. Cool;)
9. Great ad
10. Howdy At present , I 'm in the process of trying to create a mini music environment in 2 rooms (bedroom &living room) It may or may not work out, but I will listen to your valuable input here first. I have Mac mini , line 6 ux1 , m audio bx5a studio monitors and an ipad. This was all in the living room, but I thought of occasionally moving The mac /ipad and ux1 To the bedroom from time to time. If I were to do this , I think that I would only need a small fairly decent (&not too pricey) pair of computer speakers. I should've said also that the Mac mini will connect to my TV in the bedroom, and I have a kidney shaped computer desk in living room with monitor. Eventually, in a year or so I may get a laptop but times are hard.( Please help Cheers
11. Hope it goes well. How about head like a hole (nin), or falling awayb(Mordred)
12.
Ha ha, I don't think that works. I went to Uni too. I just smoked weed and chatted sh*t for years. I wasn't trying to start owt
No worries;) that was the good thing about the '80s .. New guitar gods;)
13.
When i was at Music college there was a Vai/Satch divide. I was in the Vai camp. Obviously Satch is a great player it's just he bored me to tears and his music seemed a little sterile to me. Where as Vai was fiery and in places a bit mental. To be Honest that's the kind of music i love the most, Fiery and a bit f***ed up, starting with Stravinsky.
I won't get highly strung (this is a zep thread still;) Anyway, I just find vai a little tuneless . But , you've been to college and are better than me;)
14. Slightly off topic; saw Dave Lee Roth at same shows as siddx front row at wembley too,)Hammy o gig was great( the drums;) Malmsteen ; saw him a couple of times , and at a music fayre at wembley. He played the tiny Astoria 2 (a clothes shop in the daytime;) Schenker pulled a strop , and pulled out of a co headliner with malmsteen at hammy o about 6/7 years ago. Malmsteen smashed up his guitar, the body nearly smashed my mates head , but we caught it.great gig Steve vai ; can't listen to his stuff, but saw him a few times with Satch( my fave) .He headlined the Astoria , that gig was great . Prefer Macalpine . Back to Zep, you know it will be expensive to go. You will be lucky to get a tkt. if you do go to the 02. , the highest point of the venue is scary. Apart from that, enjoy the gig
15.
................especially if you'd have heard this http://youtu.be/P1g7qFaWaLk
Tried for a minute ..that was enough
16. Yes ! If he ever gets that violin bow out , the roadie should run on stage and stick it up his arse
17. T BH , I would say no. Got the stuff at home, which is rarely played. Stopped buying subscription of Classic Rock magazine as they are constantly in it every other month. As for Planet Rock radio- can't listen to it anymore as it's Zep or Free /Who. Oh, and Kashmir is one of the worst and most tedious things I have ever heard, as is Low Quarter.
18. Agreed ... Cool bass bump;)
19. Yeah, I too have that . I also have the 3 track ep which is on the yellow label.(shame it's not the red one )
20.
Me too! I was there both nights and had seen them in Koblenz a couple of weeks prior, t'was The Manic Street Preachers that opened the gig. Have probably seen them around 12-15 times
Now Mrs T , you've opened a can of worms . I detest the manics and understand why a band member went missing .Even I prefer the 2 bands in question to them ,)
21. I have to point out something; I saw Leppard supporting AC/DC on Highway to HellTour . They were good. Saw Bon Jovi headline Monsters of Rock '87? Terrible! But,,Metallica, wasp and Anthrax were on before them,. Also saw Leppard at Donington , their first gig since the drummer was rebuilt. Motörhead were best band that day imho. So, after all that , I still don't get it,)
