2. I enjoyed that. Must confess I don't know who richey Edwards is. Can't remember the band mark e smith was in. I saw a programme about him on the off chance , and must say he is one of the most tuneless and boring people I have ever seen. Half an hour wasted from my life . Back to the thread;)
3. Sure I mentioned teen spirit and Hawaii 5 o already. Haven't mentions captain scarlet tho'

7. Found out a bit more about my turntable. It's an LPT (little pink thing). There is a cover called mitchell unicover. But it only covers the arm and platter. That costs £55 approx. I may wait till I see one on ebay. Thank goodness for the web, which wasn't around when I purchased this
8. I nearly forgot..Help,it's the Hair Bear Bunch! Soebody please post you tube clip.

11.
Native American indians can seriously rock. Listen to Blackfoot...the rythym section are both full breed Sioux indians. Greg T walker is a superb bassist. Proof; http://youtu.be/h42F9gHnFf0
That was good
12.
http://youtu.be/LsbM6ROw7uA Oh sorry, i thought you said you liked sitars
Tears are now streaming down my face. I really don't know anymore
13.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4SM40Tq4Ko
Unfortunately, my ex boss left me traumatised years ago when I heard joni mitchell. Sorry but, it's like having teeth removed . I gave this 1.5 mins. Strangely enough yhe intro was near what I'm after. Thanks tho' Bilbo
14.
This is the music i meditate to.......... http://youtu.be/c1oYR5dkU5k
WTF?? You need help
15. I know all about Blackfoot . Gnreat band in the '80s. Saw 'em eventually at knebworth . Love some of the witty comments on here also. What have I started ?
16. Okay, we can all think of guitar riff inros where you instantly recognise a song( smoke on the water/ teen spirit etc.) Can anybody do the same with Drum intros? TV themes included obviously. I have thought of three ; eastenders /Hawai 5. O/ Reign In Blood. Anymore out there ?
17. Mmm, looks very much like a diy job. (A hohner body &an encore neck). Encore are cheap(but good) basses on their own . Maybe your best bet is to advertise as a swap for something on Basschat
18.
I have a keen interest in World Music and I have been particularly into Sahara / Western Sahara blues music for a while; worth a search to listen to the unique blend of blues and north west African vocals and rhythms. A few bands are from the nomadic Tuareg people of the Sahara. A few recommendations: Ali Farka Toure, Tartit, Tourmast, there's loads more. I started off with a 2 cd sampler called "Sahara - Blues of the Desert" and took it from there. Here's Tourmast in action
This seems kinda bluesey to start, then a bit osibisa. I gave it 2 mins or so , but not my thing. Thanks anyway
19. Thanks for your input so far . Dr.Pepper didn't do it for me. What I'm after is stuff with no guitars, (definitely no sitars), & no dancey vibes.just medititive so to speak Keep 'em coming
20. I remember years ago shopping in Camden market. I went into a small shop looking for various toot and heard a noise that sounded at first like a mini demonstration( the shop was quiet). Then after a few minutes, I was liking this mellow chanting. Turned out it was some sort of Indian chanting. While playing the Roots album by Sepultura for the first time in ages( which has some of this stuff on it), I realise I must have some of this world music in my collection . Anyone got any ideas of some good sounds to get ? Cheers;)
21.
Thanks for responding I'm just looking to record some solo stuff, I'd like to listen to myself retrospectively, I also forget stuff I come up with all the time. So just a rough demo I suppose. I have a Samsung lappy. I was out the game for a long time but have just joined a function band with a brass section, I can hardly hear myself a lot of the time! Thanks again!
Could be another question you're asking us here. I would recommend a combo /amp around 250 watts if playing in pubs;)
22. I have podfarm ( line 6 ux1). I would recommend that;)
23. I also use the zoom b2 1 u . You get the effects as well;)
