  1. What a difference a day makes - Jamie Cullum
  2. The girl from ipanema - Astrud Gilberto and Stan Getz
  3. I like bluegrass, even been to the Grand OleOpry! Sure most bands expect acoustic upright bass. I played a Washburn fretless 5 string acoustic bass for a while with bluegrass players. A bit more manageable in pubs than an upright. I had it strung with black nylon strings which gave it a pretty good resemblance of an upright.
  4. It might as well rain until September- Carole King
  5. And tomorrow they’ll be another bass to catch your eye!
  6. Flip on / flip off mute? Isn’t that called the edge of your palm 👉🏻🤗
  7. I’ve got a Taylor T5Z. Got it 2nd hand on Reverb. Superb neck and great tone. My buddy has just got the Fender Acoustasonic which he thinks has a better range of acoustic tones.
  8. You’ll be able to find that on stage with lights out 🤣
  9. Is this a replacement for the Gibson 2 point?
  10. It’s probably as cheap to fly over and collect it 😁🤔. Shame you’d have to quarantine on return, not to mention the cost of the COVID-19 tests.
  11. A proper semi can be light, like Jack Cassidy, though not all. Some with centre blocks weigh as much as a solid. My 2013 Gibson EB is only 3.5kg, not bad for a 5 string. I believe the more recent models (the ones with longer horns) are also very light. Any of the chambered bodied basses e.g. Maruszczyk are light too.
  12. Sell it. With most people using good PA then if you need to be louder, d.i. your back line into the PA. Keep your amp for you to hear and put tone in but otherwise use the monitors to hear each band member, don’t rely on the back line for those on stage to hear, you probably never will. This will also help you save your ears, less volume on stage means longer life for your ears. Tinnitus is no fun 👎
  13. There is already a Unity Band - one of Pat Methany’s so quite a big reputation to live up to.
  14. The St. John shape guitar, vaguely Jaguaresque would make a nice bass.
  15. The pit band unseen orchestra No names Bland band 42nd Street band Les Mis
  16. The Kramer with aluminium neck and headstock you could use as bottle opener!
