    I think duty is payable subject to a price threshold, £120 springs to mind. Leaving Europe has done musicians no favours.

    I’m getting used to the bass and it’s scale and really enjoying it. I’m using the tripod but wondering about the end pin. It looks a bit odd with the “frame” to place it away from the body. How have others found it in use, any views?

    How can you copyright such expressions, it’s stupid. I appreciate copyright on tunes, but even they can be a bit subjective, there’s only so many notes 🎶 (whoops there’s another infringement! )

    Well if it’s a little thin in the right spots I guess it will look slightly road worn consistent with its real age. Keep at it I’m sure it will be worth it in the long run.

    Try twisting it slightly sideways so you are not so square on. I found that works well and you can pick up the dots easily. However I guess the purists on here will tell us to use our ears ‘cos there ain’t no dots on a real DB!

    It’s so large it’s hardly any more portable than a DB.

    Only ever heard of 2 of them. This is so subjective and depends on tastes in music. So in my view is probably a completely irrelevant poll.

    I got my USA made Gibson EB5 for about the money you’re talking about. They’re so underrated but brilliant to play and a premium brand. Worth looking for.
