    The Goldtone Micro Bass has a 23” scale which looks like it might be similar. May worth finding out what strings are on those.

    They are definitely U.K. USA never has switched plugs, my daughter lives in California. May be it s Harrow with under floor heating. There’s also a California in Berkshire.

    The only time I have ever dropped a bass was when it had Schiller strap locks. The fitting on the strap came undone. Prefer Grolsch rings now.

    This is easily the best fretless I’ve ever played, I’ve owned 4, but it’s just not getting played. Will consider trades, what have you got?

    That must be the lightest Fender Jazz 5 ever! I really like the tort personally. As it came from Austria, did you have to pay duty?

    It looks really great, I like the block markers, but I don’t remember any P bass with them in the 70’s and I had a 76.

    It’s definitely a 60’s one. The earlier one has a different logo on the head stock, Hofner written vertically, then another with a treble clef on it.

    My brother had one of these. I borrowed it to learn on until I got a bass of my own.

    Peerless in Korea made semis for Gretsch, Ibanez, Epiphone (including the Jack Casady) but production costs got too high so they lost the contract and now produce their own brand.

    I agree with @Boodang having recently switched to an EUB it kind of forces you to play less, in a good way!

    It’s interesting and very melodic. Tapping on an unmarked fretless takes some doing.

    That’s going to be a difficult one! Thinking about it, it is just a piece of metal bent to a given shape with some attachment screws. I wonder whether a traditional plumber, not a plastic push together man, but one who knows how to bend copper pipe, could shape you one if you drew a template. Flatten the ends drill holes in the right place then screw to your bass. Might work? Good luck.🤞

    Alternatively abandon all pedals and just go for a great BASS sound! After all the bass is part of the rhythm section and distorting or artificially extending the sustain is not complementary to rhythm. Leave the effects to the show offs playing 6. The caveat to this is compression which is probably built in to your amp and if playing fretless, a little ( very little) chorus might enhance the sound, or so Pino says.
