  1. This is the long scale version which was designed by Mike Tobias. I believe the current version is short scale and has slash ‘f’ hole ( if you can call it that). Very nice, would love it, but like others wrong Time.
  2. Never understood how a bass with a smaller than average body could weigh so much.
  3. I’ve got LaBella Deep Talking Flats on mine. Great choice especially as they don’t have silks on the ball end to foul up the bridge.
  4. Disco Queen - Hot Chocolate
  5. Devil woman - Sir Cliff
  6. I have the Peerless Bassmaster Player which is the JC by another name. Peerless used to make the JC for Epiphone it I think the quality of this version surpasses the Epi. Yes it is surprisingly versatile for a single pickup Bass. Probably due to the variable impedance output. The only downside I’ve found to date is the neck finish which is too glossy. Haven’t got round to rubbing down yet to a nice satin, but I will. I have previously owned a ‘66 Gibson EB2D, a Bach EB2 clone and a Hofner Violin. This knocks spots off all of them.
  7. Wild thing The Troggs
  8. I just don’t like Foderas 👎
  9. Next time stick to U.K. sales only.
  10. The Goldtone Micro Bass has a 23” scale which looks like it might be similar. May worth finding out what strings are on those.
  11. Looks short enough to be a Uke bass. 😆
  12. I agree with @Cosmo Valdemar keep the gold - classy
  13. If he’s got £300m given his age he’ll be hard pressed to spend it all! Not a bad pension pot. He does not give the impression of living an extravagant life style.
  14. Slippin’ ‘n’ a slidin’ - Buddy Holly
  15. They are definitely U.K. USA never has switched plugs, my daughter lives in California. May be it s Harrow with under floor heating. There’s also a California in Berkshire.
  16. The only time I have ever dropped a bass was when it had Schiller strap locks. The fitting on the strap came undone. Prefer Grolsch rings now.
  17. The banana boat song - can’t remember who did the original but I’ve got a version by Monty Alexander (yep that is the great jazz pianist)
  18. What a stunning take on a classic
  19. This is easily the best fretless I’ve ever played, I’ve owned 4, but it’s just not getting played. Will consider trades, what have you got?
  20. That’s a very nice colour combination, a bit unusual.
  21. That must be the lightest Fender Jazz 5 ever! I really like the tort personally. As it came from Austria, did you have to pay duty?
  22. It looks really great, I like the block markers, but I don’t remember any P bass with them in the 70’s and I had a 76.
  23. It’s definitely a 60’s one. The earlier one has a different logo on the head stock, Hofner written vertically, then another with a treble clef on it.
  24. My brother had one of these. I borrowed it to learn on until I got a bass of my own.
