  1. The tailpiece looks like the one on the 12 string George Harrison had before the R tailpiece was introduced. An R type would have been more attractive. I didn’t realise it had come out a while ago, I must have missed that memo 🤔🤣.
  2. Now this is a semi I wouldn’t mind, just don’t have a spare £5499 handy. But I bet someone has.
  3. Thanks Maude, I’ll give it a go.👍🏼
  4. I only have eyes for you - The Flamingos
  5. I am a boomer and I’ve owned 2 vintage basses. I traded both for something else which was not vintage and I have no gas for anything vintage. I want playable reliable and affordable. I do not want to be worrying about losing my priceless bit of kit.
  6. Night boat to Cairo - Madness
  7. Old man river - Paul Robeson
  8. Just to say the Behringer does the trick perfectly. Signal much enhanced and I think the tone is improved too. Thanks for the tip @Jean-Luc Pickguard I got it at a cracking price from Gear4music.
  9. Gibson EB has 2 good humbucker/MM style pickups and does growl. There is also a pull pot on the volumes that converts the PUs to single coil which sound like a jazz. Probably the cheapest US made bass you can buy.
  10. New York, New York. Ole blue eyes
  11. I don’t want Togo to Chelsea - Elvis Costella
  12. I used to play tenor using Irish tuning ( like a mandolin). Think of it as a backward guitar, you can literally reverse chords. Friends play with Chicago tuning and therefore use the “top half” of chords. Many of those turn out as 1 finger shapes so couldn’t be easier and you can buy suitable strings.
  13. I think I’ll just have the guy’s suit, so cool.
  14. I’ve bought the Behringer AD21, it arrived today but haven’t tried it out yet. I will report on performance in due course.
  15. Food glorious, glorious food. - Lionel Bart : the cast of Oliver!
  16. Hard days night - you know who!
  17. I know “it’s all you fault” from Hot Club of Cowtown, who also hail from Austin!
  18. Eve of Destruction - Barry McGuire
  19. Thanks @Jean-Luc Pickguard that sounds like a good option without breaking the bank and having an alternative use 👍🏼
  20. These seem very reasonable at under £40. I’ve been satisfied with my Behringer Vamp, so have you tried it with acoustic guitars as I have 3 of those?
  21. Mines the earlier passive one.
  22. Perhaps Fender have been their own worst enemy. There Japanese and Mexican products have been so good there is no need to buy USA made.
  23. My PA man says the signal from my NS NXT EUB is weak, so I have been putting it through my Behringer V-Amp processor, but that’s a large bit of kit and has lots of things in it which I’d only use with my bass guitars. Can any one recommend a reasonably priced small pre-amp or booster pedal which might do the trick?
  24. Rubber ball - Bobby Vee
  25. I shot the sheriff- Bob Marley
