  1. Good idea, but you can’t sit down when the guitar is on the stand.
  2. A colourful rug on stage seems popular at present, but one needs to keep standards up, so remain standing or get a quality bar stool (a la Dean Martin). There is always a risk that you might fall off!
  3. 700 (do you mean £s) for a Westone seems somewhat excessive!
  4. This is a surprise! Didn’t think you’d be selling this so quickly, you waxed so lyrical about it.
  5. Is this the same as the one Scot has reviewed recently and plans on giving away? He raved about it which takes some ad a died in the wool P player.
  6. This Spector Rebop my original Fenton Weill, which is probably now with a fortune, and my Gibson EB2 which is definitely worth a mint.
  7. Thanks #Henrythe8, they are very underrated, I just don’t think most bassists haven’t heard of them or tried them. I don’t think they were widely available in the U.K. I imported this one from Italy.
  8. More generic Fender? This looks like a P to me, with a minor mod or 2. Thank heavens Charvel dropped the pointy headstock.
  9. There’s a hole in my bucket - Harry Belafonte
  10. No doubt £33, 10% extra for lefties! As a left hander myself, I learned right handed to save the 10% - now that’s being a cheapskate! 🤣
  11. I don’t think the 500/1 was the cheapest model at the time, that would be the Senator. Single pickup, single cut away. Having said that he had his Rick stripped back to natural when I’m sure he could have bought another and plays a right handed Casino turned upside down. Perhaps we can call him frugal with his purchases. According to a Selmer catalogue the 500/1 was 58gns and the Senator 38gns.
  12. I recall the original ones had a built in stand. Not a shape that ever appealed to me.
  13. Good looking P, the tort looks like the early ones ans definitely suits it. 👍🏼 So how’s the weight, Ps & Js are so variable?
  14. Looks great in blue. I know the spec says short scale but that neck looks long!
  15. Having also briefly owned one, they are very easy to play especially with a pick and they really don’t feel like anything else I’ve ever tried including other Hofners. It wasn’t a feel I liked so out it went but Sir P. obviously feels differently.
