  1. Leaving on a jet plane - John Denver
  2. London calling - the Clash
  3. I’ve done that for years too, “when I survey the wondrous cross” fits to Rising Sun too. It’s one of those tunes you can sing just about anything too.
  4. If they get the prices suggested for most of them, he’ll have a very tidy pension fund. Should mean he can afford his increased energy costs.
  5. I’m a man - Muddy Waters
  6. Take me higher - Diana Ross
  7. I didn’t know they made it as a 5 🤣
  8. Summer in the city - Lovin’ Spoonful.
  9. Just spent a couple of hours fiddling. Put a lot more relief into the neck and upped and downed the bridge. The buzz is pretty much gone, but the neck is quite bowed forward. If was a bass guitar I’d call it a banana neck.
  10. Hard to tell but probably bridge end.
  11. Gonna make you a star -David Essex
  12. My NS NXT has developed an annoying buzz when you play an open G. I’ve currently got foam wedged under the strings as a mute to reduce the problem but it’s still there and is amplified. Have you or any other NS players experienced this, I’ve no idea how to cure it - new strings , change the action, loose truss rod?
  13. Out of time - Chris Farlowe
  14. Mine is branded Peerless who are the Korean Company that made them originally for Epiphone before production moved to China. Superbly made and great sounding bass. I don’t seem to have the problems others mentioned, neck dive and twisting. However it does have a thick neck, a chunky feel that’s really different to my other basses.
  15. FB Pocket Orchestra.
  16. Mac the knife Bobby Darin
  17. Jailhouse Rock - Elvis. ( Sorry it’s so obvious)
  18. Sounds ok, but what pedal/amp is it being put through because that’s never it’s u processed sound.
  19. Song sung blue - Neil Diamond
  20. I’m not surprised Stanley’s got rid of it, what was he thinking about ordering it and what was Ken Smith thinking about accepting the order and building it 😖
  21. I bet that plays a lot better than a violin bass (which I have owned) but have much too close together strings IMHO. Whilst that model was never a Guild in the 60s, it certainly looks like it should have been. Good buy for a 60s band.
  22. Probably Chas Chandler, although I’ve never been a plectrum bassist.
  23. This town ain’t big enough for the both us - Sparks
  24. Bus stop - Hollies
  25. On the rebound - Floyd Kramer
