  1. Will the circle be unbroken - The Carter Family
  2. My Gibson EB 2013 5 string is a light 3.5kg and the later versions with a more pointed body are the same. Great pickups with pull pots to change from humbucker to single coil J type.
  3. And I’ve got the fretless version on sale here for £475. I’d do you a trade as well.
  4. Can I ask another, probably silly question. Does the bow quiver have to be leather, or can my missus knock one up in fabric on her sewing machine?
  5. Thanks @zbd1960, so I won’t warm it, but I guess a new bow and new rosin just needs a lot of rubbing! May be like with a lamp, I need to say abracadra. 🤔😆l
  6. Thank you @Bloopdad1, that’s helpful. I bought Hidesine deluxe all weather bass rosin. It’s still pretty hard, but I have touched it up a bit with a key as someone suggested. However I can’t see rosin on the bow and it doesn’t seem sticky. It’s okay for a very short while, rosin dust appears on the strings and body of my NXT and then seems to go quiet. Do you think it would help to soften the rosin a bit, can one do that in a microwave ( for a very short time obviously).
  7. Glad you’re pleased with it. I suspect they are a bit marmite, not my cup of tea.
  8. Looks like a small shim job to me.
  9. Epiphone Rivoli - 60’s Ibanez Roadster or Aria 1000 - 80s
  10. This is still out there looking for a new home. Since Spector changed hands they’ve dropped this model in favour of the new Pulse, so now is the time to get your hands on one. Open to offers or trades.
  11. Thanks @casapete. I think some were gold, some chrome. The downside of gold seems to be that they tarnish and look poor compared to chrome.
  12. I’ve used a Pub Prop I. The past. It’s designed to fit on a table with a clamp, but if you have a cab with a suitable overhang it works. I’ll try find a picture.
  13. Shaking all over - Johnny Kidd & the Pirates
  14. Sorry, @40hz I think it’s hideous and predict an even shorter lifespan than the dimension bass.
  15. A friend’s son has a Korean made Strat, 1997, which are known as Pro Tone. It has gold hardware and a translucent Crimson finish and a pearl pickguard. I’ve looked these up and I gather it’s a solid ash body and we’re intended to be an up market model at the time. He thinks he wants to sell it, which may not be his best decision, so anyone know if these are particularly sought after. A couple on sale on line are the models without the gold hardware, one asking £450 and the other, in the US on Reverb, wanting nearly £650! A couple of past sales have been in the £250 range. I’m not asking for a valuation, but a view on quality and desirability.
