  1. You’re right about the colour match between the pickup and scratch plate. I’ve taken the plate off, looks better.
  2. Sorry no idea. I bought it second hand and there’s no clue on the label. I think these were only made for a very limited period, no doubt under pressure to stop from Epiphone who has moved production to China. I have started a thread on Peerless but so far mine is the only one posted, why not stick yours on there too?
  3. I know your not playing a Fender but this from their website about setting up pickups. 4. Politician - Cream
  5. That’s on Fleabay at £49!
  6. Light my fire - The Doors
  7. I had a sunburst 66 EB2D a while back, they really do have a sound of their own. Looking at the photos I think Scrumymike is incorrect, I can’t see a 2nd pickup and there are no controls for it. Mine had independent volume and tone for each pickup, so I think this is correctly an EB2 and the single pickup model seems to be more collectible.
  8. Brilliant bass, Peerless make first class guitars. Love my Bassmaster Player and used to have a New Yorker guitar which I shouldn’t have sold. GLWS sorry I can’t afford it myself.
  9. I am pleased that the current management of Epiphone are recreating basses and guitars from their own past catalogues instead of imitations of the Gibson models and a couple of Hofners. Even though they were owned by Gibson since the dawn of time or at least Rock n roll time, they have a heritage of their own which is well worth recreation.
  10. Just found this stand on DV247 for £53.99 delivered. Ordered one and will see how it is a report further.
  11. Just heard that there Mick Jagger signature harps coming out. Who knew he could play one?
  12. I do play octave mandolin, but mine has a built in piezo which I think is Artec. However a cheap an effective solution is “The Cap”, a pickup in a bottle top which applies with a sort of putty to the front of the instrument. I used one a while back and it worked well considering the price. I looked them up on the net and Hot Rox still sell them.

  14. It’s the end of the world as we know it - REM
  15. If you gotta go, go now - Bob Dylan
  16. Great bass, a real classic. I hope the battery was taken out when it went out of use. It looks like it needs a really good clean.
  17. And add “law suit” there weren’t really that many!
  18. Land of a thousand dances - Wilson Pickett
  19. Discovering your inner Ventures?
  20. Pictures of matchstick men - Status Quo
  21. Great looker, makes me think I need an anodised plate. 🤔
  22. I had a black one about the same date. Cost me £99!
  23. If they’re going from E down to Eb you could fit a hipster d-tuner set to drop the half. The rest of the notes above are the same.
  24. I saw a band outside Starbucks in Seattle called Slimpickin’s and their bassist had an aluminium bodied upright bass. Sounded good.
  25. Stop, in the name of love - The Supremes
