  1. A friend of mine from waaaay back in the 80`s bought an Overwater brand new, his pride and joy so much so he wouldn`t let anyone else play it, now jump forward about 36 years to last week and I got a message on Facebook asking me if I was who I am off said mate bearing in mind we`ve not seen each other for the 36 years, first question I asked him, do you still have the Overwater......`yes do you want to buy it!` So in less than a week of being reunited I now have the Overwater Original, one owner from new in my sweaty hands. Its in pretty decent shape as well considering he was in a punk band back in the day, a little tweak of the truss rod and it`s good to go, I`ll put some new strings on when I get the ones I won off the SIT facebook page when they eventually turn up but it sounds massive! I`ll get more pics up soon as it`s too bloody long for my phone camera to capture in one go! Anyway without further ado here it is.
  2. The new T-Birds with the Pro Bucker 760`s on sound amazing (well they do to me) I had the old alpine white one with the Gibson pickups in but these are far better, I`ve also got one of the active T-Bird pro`s but I changed those pups for a set of custom wound Ghost Dirty Dozens and it`s very dark sounding and full.
  3. My current rig is an all Hartke affair, LH1000 with spare LH500 in the rack case for quick change if the worst happens again, coupled with a 2x10 and a 1x15 Hydrive cabs it does the job.
  4. One off, you wont find another, headless Walnut V
  5. Seen this one on Facebook and Instagram, I'll just repeat the comment I made on that post....'stunning'!

  7. Well as I can never leave anything alone and was looking to upgrade the pickup on the Zebrano P I went a bit overboard and got a Duncan 1/4lb and a rather fetching Wenge Warmoth neck, something in me thinks this is a bit of a keeper now. Tuners and a new bridge will be next on the hit list!
  8. Just bought a pickup off Paul, very quickly delivered, spot on! Cheers Jeff
  9. If you've ever wondered what a Zebrano P looks like, wonder no more, just built this with a Jazz neck, Duncan Designed pup and one of Johns finest looms, oiled finish only to keep it feeling organic. Fancying a better pup though.
  10. Just realized I haven't posted the pic of my latest Cobia on here, oh well here goes. Might as well put them both on for good measure.
  11. Ordered yet another loom off John, extremely quick service and great price. Cheers Jeff
  12. It`s a black and white P.......
  13. Good god no, Alphers are far better than that!
  14. Cheers Chris, always good to pop down and drool, shame about the weather but hey that's Yorkshire in the summer 😂
  15. Finally picked up my new Cobia from Alpher HQ today a 4 string to go with my 5er. It's bloody lovely and sounds amazing with the Nordstrand Big Man pickup, just passive this time but with a 3 way toggle for single coil, series and parallel, I have to say its spot on and only weighs 7lb 2oz (most of that will be the pickup!) Hipshot hardware all round makes Jeff a very happy bunny!
  16. Very nice, give Chris a nudge and tell him to get mine finished 😉....mines the blue Cobia currently awaiting its pup!
  17. They're Ghost Dirty Dozen pickups, hand wound by Wilf Vessinga in Whitley Bay, they're way more powerful and articulate than the originals which was in my opinion the only real let down with the standard bass.
  18. Ordered this a few weeks ago from PMT and it finally came today, I've already got a honeyburst one but being in a UFO tribute band I wanted to get the right colour, I know the bridges are different but what the hell. These 760 humbuckers are fantastic, plenty of tone and bags of power, the neck feels to be a slightly different profile to my other one but its still slim, neck dive is negligible and the finish is flawless. Overall I'm very happy with it and tonight is it's first gig.
