1. what size is the heel of the Jazz neck? might be just what im looking for........sod it ill take a chance would you take £30 posted?
2. Well ive always fancied a Jazz but never seem to have actually bothered buying one for some strange reason, so when i saw an unused unnamed swamp ash Jazz body on the bay i thought why not, ive got a full set of electrics inc pick ups and a bridge so all i need is the neck, tuners and various jazzy type bits. The body is hand built by an unnamed builder but seems pretty accurate, the scratch plate follows the line of the lower horn quite nicely so all is well there although i may sand bigger radius on the horns just because i can . When ive received the body it seems to be covered in quite a (very in places) thick layer of primer so my first job will be to sand all of that off and start from scratch, this will be my first attempt at finishing a body and as i work from a very small bedroom im not expecting anything like some of the stunning finishes you normally see on here and at the moment im not even sure what colour its going to end up. The journey as they say starts here! ive started sanding the back just to see what the wood underneath is like and it looks quite nice so a see through tinted lacquer might be on the cards or even just natural....time will tell
3. i`ll take the Warwick 5 string set, if you still have them, pm me your details and i`ll sort out the payment. cheers.
4. thats a new one `affordable improvements and conversions`
5. makes me wonder if every bass or guitar ive ever owned needed the nut filing ?
6.
I hear he bought a cricket bat for a tenner, and after some of his ..er... alterations, its now worth £36.00
has it now got `ernie ball strings fitted and a filed down handle? or does it play just like Kevin Pietersons infact possibly better
7. This one made me laugh, `Hendrix USA type guitar` he got a lefty strat copy and strung it upside down to play it right handed!..... why? I also like the `as the photo shows i re-strung it with ernie ball strings` well the photo shows a guitar with no strings on just a couple of ernie ball string packets on top of the neck, he could be using any make of string but has a couple of empty ernie ball packets in his shed. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2c66fb954b i also likes how he goes from `guitar fixer` to `guitar improver` to `guitar fixer/improver` to `guitar converter/fixer` to finally `master setter-upper` and `master guitar improver`!
8. ive just been noseying through his listings and he has a `usa knopfler classic` electric guitar basically a strat copy that someone has written `knopfler` onto the headstock in two tone marker pen! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USA-Knopfler-classic-electric-guitar-/190706331967?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2c66fbb13f

11. I can only say `Bloody hell!!` http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-ONLY-LEFTY-LEFT-HANDED-1960-FENDER-STACK-KNOB-CUSTOM-COLOR-JAZZ-BASS-ONEARTH-/360472869907?pt=Guitar&hash=item53eddb7c13 apologies if this has been posted before.
12. Buy a suade strap if you dont fancy extra holes in your bass, i bought one for my copy t/bird and it was definately £13 well spent.
13. Selling my Washburn T25 as basically i dont play it as often as i should but ive got a Warwick 5 string, its in cracking condition hence £180 ovno + £15 postage, im in Co Durham if anyone would like to try it. i would be tempted with an acoustic bass of the same value as trade. cheers. feel free to ask for more pics. Jeff
14. the heel join has been done manually and badly by the look of it, if you look closely the radius on each side dont match and its not square across the bottom, it could be a squire neck that s been bodged to fit another body.
15. More pics
16. i`ll email you a few pics no problem, im in Crook in Co Durham if your anywhere near you can by all means come and try it.
17. I lost my dog after 17 years last year so i fully understand what your going through but agree with what folk are saying on here about selling your pride and joy, dont do it.
18. If the warwick straplocks are still available ill take them, pm me your details please.
19. I know its not one of the top line instruments for sale on here but everyone has to start somewhere or maybe even needs a reliable back up bass, for sale is a beautiful Tiger Eye Peavey Millennium 4, its almost unmarked save for a very few marks in the usual places, i bought this as a pair with an identical active version which im keeping, im looking for £110 plus postage which the going rate seems to be £15 and i`ll include a gig bag and strap. Thanks for looking Jeff linky thing http://www.peavey.co...20TigerEye.html i could be persuaded to trade for an acoustic bass but thats all i`d trade for.
