I`ve just actually seen a right handed version of one of these on ebay and went to the review on youtube, the guy reviewing it was impressed but I don`t know if he was being paid by them to say that. check out the review

I`ve used the `Overlord` bridge...but, I googled about it and the main criticism was the thumbwheels mashed into the body of the bridge so I`ve taken the washers off some normal tuners I had lying about, now I have steel/nylon/steel between the thumbwheels and the bridge body, time will tell if its a fix but I can`t see why not.

Crimson guitars stunning stains green and lots of oil....maybe too much oil 😂 a better wood would have been even better, might try ash next time Paulonia is a bit MEH!

Decided to move away from the individual bridge/tuner idea and try out the cheap all in one offering, must admit it seems to work better although the individual ones may be better suited to a 6 string rather than bass, I may keep hold of them or let them go cheap as i used the string retainer part, if anyone wants them gimme a shout. Anyway, it`s almost finished, just waiting for new strings, strap buttons and give it a set up then it`s ready to go. here are a few pic`s of project CV-19....

If and its a big if you can get one, a RedSub Coliseum fan fret 5 string is the best bass I`ve ever played under £300, the neck is seriously to die for, if anyone in the North East would like to try it after restrictions then I`ll be happy to let them try it, it is THAT good.

The money lost from not being able to work meant the bass buying budget went out of the window, other more important things needed paying for, that and he upped the price a bit!

Hate to say this but I had to give this back to the previous owner due to severe illness, I was possibly of of the 1st cv-19 sufferers, horrible horrible chest infection at the time, felt like someone clawing their way out of my chest every time I coughed, never in my life have I felt such pain, went to hospital Jan 6th I had fluid on lungs, sent home with antibiotics, ended up with some great bruises that didnt hurt.

I`m really impressed with the 5 string although still playing it through phones....damn you virus!! Might even get the 6 myself with the danger money I`m being paid at the moment, for £300 what can go wrong?

I quite like my Zebrano and Wenge bitsa, very organic in looks and feel.

For a cheapy they got the string path right on this one! Can't fault the shape either.

I agree with the pre amp 100% but thats where the costs have been cut, finish on mine is as good as anything else i`ve owned, I can`t fault it, thing is the neck is worth the asking price on its own, it just feels right! I had the 4 string Ibanez SR800ff and yeah, 4 string fan frets are pointless.

On the 7 to 6 stringer, has he really just put insulating tape across the top of the poles to turn it into a single coil?

My Alpher Cobia has done every gig (apart from the UFO tribute gigs) and practice since I got it, it`s a wonderful thing.
