At those prices you might even be better off buying both and sending back the one you don't like... Who knows, you might be able to get something special combining the two!

Peavey used to do this with their Cirrus custom shop, wasted far too many hours on that!

Sometimes a really subtle effect makes anyone REALLY good even if you can't really tell what actual effect is being used very well. I like a light overdrive over the whole signal with a clean blend, mixed with high gain over a more select frequency range

Diago plugs are a lot smaller than they look. You have to make sure you make them properly though, I did a shoddy job on one and it cuts out and I'm too lazy to pull my pedalboard apart to fix it
