Ahh, now see that's where you've been going wrong all this time

My band used to play Tito and Turantula's 'Strange Face Of Love'. Tito and Turantula are a Mexican/American goth band who were the house band at 'The Titty Twister' bar in From Dusk Til Dawn (think Sema Hayak's dance with the Boa Constrictor). I used to love playing it but it tended to leave the audience a bit shell shocked and confused, considering that most of the rest of the set were danceable crowd pleaser stuff.

It’s pretty accurate too!

I was a fun day! thsnks to @rwillett for inviting us to your lovely village - I thought it was a lovely day and good to meet some new people. See guys like @sifi2112 and @GreeneKing again and Folk like @neepheid who I’ve been reading their comments and seeing them as an authority who’s opinions I trust for years now! ….

I’m up for possible trades on this, either a fretless or a precision ideally. Ibanez EHB1005MS in Matt black. In great condition, believe it is 2021. I love this bass for it ergonomics, and playability, only reason for sale is I have upgraded to the 1505 version. There is a chip in the paintwork on the rear which happened in transit, but obviously cannot be seen when playing, and has not bothered me at all. There also appears to be a slight split where the fretboard meets the neck at the body end, see photos. I took this to a local luthier for a set up when I got it, and pointed this out. He said it looks to have been glued and is nothing to worry about. it has been set up with a really low action and virtually plays itself! Comes with nice Ibanez gig bag.

Oh bloody hell, this looks glorious. And I bloody forgot to post the BC lanyards up to @rwillett as I noticed too late on Saturday morning... Ach well, hoping it was successful enough that there will be another one when I can arrive with votive gifts as well as cake!

Only just noticed @ossyrocks has a cup of tea in hand, I have a memory that he only ever put a cup down to pick a bass up The moment the bass went down, a cup of tea magically appeared in his hand.

Another nice local one for Glam Fever at the Milestone in Sheffield last night. It was definitely on the warm side and the fans were run to overdrive….wig wearing is definitely a challenge. An enthusiastic crowd and we had a good sound on and off stage for a change so I could go for the harmonies better than normal. Pleased with how we played - zero defects which was nice and sets us up nicely for a steady run of gigs over the next couple of months. Quick getaway was a bonus as I had two people picking up the mustangs I had for sale first thing. Down to the Lionel and Fallout basses for most gigs now - fortunately I love both of em.

Well that's me back up the road in Aberdeen. First things first, thanks so much to @rwillett for organising this bash, I think it was a great success and I hope it carries on. Thanks also to Rob's family for helping behind the scenes, for feeding us pizza and delicious cakes/treats. Great to meet old friends and make some new ones. Highlights for me were reacquainting myself with my first ever bass (the Epiphone EB-3), giving a BackBeat a go, playing a bass that cost twice what my car cost me, and checking out Rob's 3D printed instruments. I took some pics, all of gear I think, I'll get 'em up shortly All the best to you, and here's to a very successful bash! Slàinte mhath!

Love that @gafbass02 even though it breaks my maple/matching head rule…
