  3. I've mostly used multi-fx, with a brief forray into individual physical pedals, but to date had yet to find the 'perfect' setup for me. The B2Four is not perfect, but it ticks most of my boxes. The Great Build quality - Feels solid, all switches feel solid and have a nice positive click to them, the display is clear (Tho perhaps a wee bit small) and can be seen when the pedal in on the floor. Size - Small and light enough to carry in front pocket of my gig bag. Power - Can be driven from a 500ma 9v supply (One comes with the unit) and also via the USB-C connection. Control Interface - The best user interface I've seen from Zoom (I've tried the MS-60B, B3, B1XFour) this blows them away (imho). The up/down/left/right switches are large enough to allow foot control and have a nice click to them (I would prefer them in a diamond pattern but these work well). Input - Single 1/4 inch for bass and an aux 3.5mm for stuff. There is also an expression pedal input to drive the 3 or 4 pedal control parameters. Output - DI with gnd lift, mono/stereo amp and a 3.5mm headphone output (No need for an adapter). Tuner - Responsive and deals with my 5ers. I miss the LEDs of the B1XFour, but this does the job. The Good Sounds - I like the sounds. You can hear some of these here and Bass The World gives it a good review The could be better Preset Patches - Not uncommon, but they do not reflect the sounds I'm looking for, but easy enough to change. Software - IOS only at present and paid for (tho only about a quid) I do not understand this at all! Fortunately I've an iPad so can use this, but my phone is Android and my main computer is Apple. Hopefully Zoom will release other versions or ToneLib will add B2Four support. The device offers fairly good on device editing so this is not a major issue, rather a nice to have. Overall this is a win for me. A single pedal that can do all I need, small enough to easily lug about, can be powered from a USB brick and allows iPad programming (tho the on device editing is fairly good) and with a DI output for the odd occasions if I need it. I will dig deeper for a while, but I suspect that my other f/x units will go up here on BC for sale. Updates will follow as I learn more. Sam x A great video about how to use the unit
  4. The ones we have done ticketed have been a 50-50 split and 65-35 after deduction of costs which probably comes to about the same thing.
  5. Jose bought a multi-effects unit from me and despite an unexpected issue on my side, was an absolute pleasure to deal with, both in speedy payment and in our communications. A top bloke to do business with in complete confidence. Chris
  6. With a name like "Ashborygirl", I think it's a given you like short scale basses
  7. Good to know, thank you. I guess this is a problem with lots of Class Ds that you don't find out til you actually gig with them.
  8. Hi I'm looking for a lefty Sadowsky 5 string bass. preferred alder / rosewood combination. Many Thanks.
  9. It's an odd bass. On one hand I've really grown to like them. And the looks. It's also great they've done a sub version. However, when you look at it objectively there's no control for tone or anything, so if the pick up isn't great you're stuck with it. Bonus if it's good though. Although, you're paying for less options and flexibility than a standard sub. As I say, it's weird. And cool.
  10. I've just realised I neglected to upload a photo of the face of the headstock 🤦🏻‍♂️
  11. I've had a Carvin BX500 for years, and my brother has had a combo for a similar time. No problem with either. However, there was a big reliability issue which the guys at the stockist at the time, Bass Gear, became aware of. Most of the problems happened early in ownership, so if there's secondhand gear out there working I'd say it would be low risk.
  12. PM’d as well. Let’s see what happens. Looks cool.
  13. No, John Petrucci is. Music Man have introduced the first JP6 and JP7 guitar models in 2001 and all the prog metal fanboys have been buying them like hot cakes - and many of them didn't stop at one, but bought a whole host of different limited edition finishes. Since 2001 there have been many changes to the model (great marketing trick) so that all the fanboys had to get those as well. And then the John Petrucci Majesty came along, in 2018. The success has completely overwhelmed Music Man, it has quickly become one of their best-selling models to date! It's a neck-through build, prohibitively expensive, with rather dividing looks, but despite all that they sell them faster than they can make them. Music Man have a very clever marketing strategy with their "The Vault" online store, selling many limited editions or special finishes that are only available through the Vault. It gives them full control over those sales, they get the full profit, and because many are Artist models or similar to the one the artist is playing (for example the Mystic Dream flipflop finish associated with John Petrucci: on the old JP6 and JP7 this was a standard option but on the Majesty it's only available through The Vault) the fanboys have to come to Music Man directly if they want one.
  14. Selling my Markbass Compressore as it's too big to use alongside my BDDI Deluxe and a few other pedals that I want to keep now that I've finally got round to getting a pedalboard. Everything works fine, it's in good condition and as the compression itself is provided by the valve circuit it's got a fantastic warm, full sound. Comes with a dedicated power supply I had to buy as this pedal requires a 12v dc supply with a minimum current of 600ma. Am open to trades for another compressor in a smaller package - Something like a Cali76, MXR 87 or Empress Compressor would be ideal with cash going either way if the right pedal comes along. I don't have the original box but it will be well packed. Also has velcro on the bottom. Looking for £130 posted - Payment via BACS or PayPal please. Any questions please ask. Thanks for looking, James
  15. Selling these lovely Labella 760FL flats (The 3rd set I've tried in the past couple of years!) as I've realised that no matter how much I love the sound, the feel and string tension just isn’t for me. Back to the rounds! 😀 The strings themselves are in excellent condition and have only been on my precision for a few weeks, theres a small amount of fraying on the headstock end silks where the string goes into the tuning post but this should be hidden when the strings are installed. These have been cut for standard Precision scale length… Asking for £30 posted please - Payment via BACS or PayPal please. Any questions please ask. Thanks, James
  16. nope no mention of gibsons,,,apart from when they show a clip of Jack Bruce playing a Gibson eb 3 😁
  17. I enjoyed it. It’s a romanticised tale set in an era many of us grew up in. It’s neither gritty drama nor black comedy. A bit of a pastiche. Don’t expect too much and it’s entertaining nonsense.
  18. I've been reading a little on cables, and apparently anything with power... a cable with one of those barrels on it, a hub, anything that has power, will enable power/charge mode and not data transfer mode. But I guess that's what happens when Zoom don't ship a unit with their own cable LOL
  19. *now £400!* Hi all, I’m selling my old amp setup as I’ve moved on to an Aguilar rig now. for sale together is my TC RH450 amp head and RS210 cab. This rig has seen a lot of action over the years and therefore it’s far from perfect cosmetically, however it still works perfectly and sounds absolutely great. The 2x10 cab packs a real punch and the RH450 is awesome for having three in-built presets, as well as a tuner and compression. I have the cab cover and amp head carry bag too. collection from Brockley, SE4 London, or I can organise delivery around London if you’re not far.
  20. Sorry to hear this, don't give up.
