  1. Past hour
  2. So - we got the video back of the gig. The mix on the live stream was pretty rough... literally can't hear me at all. However... aforementioned LEDs might be a little bright... 🤣
  3. Nice to have you with us, my friend.
  4. Futures so bright I gotta wear shades - Timbuc3
  5. Was a bit of an ebay bargain too if I remember rightly?
  6. Hey Guys, This is a very reluctant sale but unfortunately needs must. I have only recently received the HD350 in a trade after downsizing from a TD650, but it’s works perfectly(aside from the occasional crackly pot after it hasn’t been moved for a while) and sounds brilliant through the 4x10. The previous owner put the white markers on but can be easily cleaned off. Both individual parts of the rig have been gigged but have been looked after, so the overall condition of both is pretty good for their age. The cab also has a cover which I’ll dig out. I’m after £500 collected from Bridgwater, Somerset, or I can deliver within a certain distance. I would also be open to trading for a good combo with a cash adjustment, which would be preferable. I’d also be open to trading for a GK rig. Any questions please just ask. Thanks, Josh.
  7. Blinded By The Light - Manfred Mann's Earth Band
  8. I’ll provide an answer but there are much more experienced players here that can help you. Firstly, I practice for short periods but often. Say 15 - 20 minutes several times a day. I use a mirror so I can see my fingering hand and look at what’s happening. It seems you’re using your thumb to apply pressure to your fingers. Discovering Double Bass was great at helping me understand how little pressure you need. I watch a lot of classical music live (part it my job sometimes) and the thumb is used as a reference point on the neck, but not to apply pressure. Every few minutes you’ll need to remember to relax your hand and use your arm weight to apply pressure. im struggling with all of this and have booked a lesson or two to help me. The best results will come from spending time with an experienced player. Build things up slowly and don’t agree to play 3 x 45s on Sunday this weekend.
  9. Bought an Empress Compressor unit from Jacek - nice simple transaction with the unit arriving carefully packaged and in tip-top condition. I would recommend him to anyone considering a trade, sale or purchase.
  10. I've got tix for Part Chimp next Saturday, always look forward to seeing them live!
  11. Probably, when it's working as a DI box and not a power amp it's not passing anywhere near as much current so it won't get warm.
  12. I'd argue that anyone who wants MIDI doesn't want an ME-series Boss unit in the first place. If you're going to control it remotely, then you're kind of defeating the USP of these units and would be better served with a Gx-100 / GT-1000-core which will offer a lot more options to the MIDI fiends.
  13. Plain oiled body and veneered pickguard. Go with wood.
  14. Hi, I've emailed Sandberg but waiting their reply and recommendation. In the meantime, does anyone have experience in buying or know of a good quality ABS case to fit a California VS4 with minimal movement. Thanks. 👍
  15. I listened to the first song then had to bail out. The individual musicians are undoubtedly way more talented than I’ll ever possibly be, but why does it have to be so bland? When soul or r’n’b or jazz gets so smoothed out to the point where there’s no stinky funk left in it, I quickly lose interest. But that’s on me, not the band. Couldn’t take those vocals for more than one song either. Sorry, OP. But I do appreciate being given new stuff to listen to, so thank you, even if it’s not for me.
  16. I just got my first EUB and love it. But having mostly played electric guitar up to now, I can see that this is going to be quite a physical challenge? Browsing various posts here, I can see recommendations to take it easy and build up time on the instrument gradually. So, I'd be interested in advice on how to do this and sensibly build up to being able to practice on an EUB for increasing times, without risking RSI or other injury? I'm guessing that good technique is really important? So how best to get help with this? Typically I've had lessons before on Zoom, but would it be best to be actually in the same room with a good teacher to get this sort of guidance? It feels like I'm gripping the neck far too tight, where the thumb behind the neck should really be just a guide I think? I can see that to achieve good technique will take time, so how would you balance the caution of doing it gradually with the wish to dive full in? Thanks!
  17. He's great - and its nice in small doses - but its a shame he picked the wrong instrument to perfect.
  18. Phil Jones Bass M300 Bass amplifier. Mint Condition, gigged about three times. 300WATT/8 OHM 400WATT/4 OHM 500WATT/2 OHM High Signal/Noise Ratio:88dB Ultra low Distortion Power Amplifier: 0.04% THD at 250 watt Dimensions:15-3/4"W*5-1/4"H*12-3/4"D Built-in studio quality compressor. Comes complete with top quality fitted flight case, this amp has two channels, so ideal for two different basses on stage at once. Used very little and in perfect mint condition, read up about these, they are quality bass amps, flight case cost £250 alone. This amp gives you HI FI quality clean bass tone. The amp has been designed to last a lifetime, it sounds amazing. A professional amp, fully flight cased at a reasonable price from the legendary Phil Jones. Cash is king, but may consider trades for a Barefaced 1x10 cab, plus cash my way. Can courier in flight case, but buyer organises and pays costs, it's heavy in flight case. Would deliver or meet half way if not too far away, if delivering buyer covers fuel.
  19. I’m having a little board shakeup and moving more toward a synthy sound. With that in my mind I thought I’d see if anyone wanted to trade either their Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe or Triungulo Barbenera for this 3Leaf Proton. I’m not looking to sell outright just yet and only interested in the Xero or Barbenara. If anyone has either one of those pedals and is open to a trade, let me know!
