Haven't I seen a few of these on ebay recently??
  3. Having a bit of a clear out First up Wilkinson gold bridge with brass saddles looking for £10 Gold jazz bass control plate pay the postage and you can have it Two after market Jazz bass scratchplates/pickguards fit American standard. One is mint the other tortoiseshell both backed with copper tape looking for £10 each
  4. I've decided to sell off all my effects stuff, so here is a complete Rockboard pedalboard setup for your delectation. First of all, the Tres 3.0 (£85) is 44cm wide by 24cm deep. This also comes with the soft gig bag. Next, and mounted inside on the front panel, is the Mod 2 (£55), which gives you lots of patchbay routing options. Next, the Power LT XL, which gives you a gig's worth of power without being plugged into the mains. This sits on the Rockboard Tray (£17), and I've set it up so it can be charged via USB from the front panel of the Mod 2. All very nice and neat. The PSU is older than the other items, which are all around a month old. You can see everything on my current build. The MS-3 and Wampler are also for sale if anyone is interested.
  5. This. Someone thought, ‘Let’s create a bass to make everyone happy by putting a P pickup in the middle and a J pickup near the bridge.’ No, it doesn’t work. The timeless glory of the P pickup quite naturally overpowers the pathetic weedy bridge J unit. Worst of all is where some goon has taken a lovely 60s P and hacked a hole as close as physically possible to the bridge, guaranteeing that the J pickup will sound thinner and weedier than ever. And it just looks wrong too. Countless numbers of PJ basses have been churned out at all price points, and they’re all wasted on my me (and of course my tastes are beyond reproach). Sorry to be so on-the-fence on this…
  6. Sorry guys , I got my dates mixed up , I’ll get on it when I get home , it’s been a mad month
  7. I keep coming back to this... If I can sell a bass I currently have listed, I will have to give it a try!
  8. I hope this thread will alert me to when I need to spend my money for sparkle!
  9. Ooh you don't see these come up for sale often. I love mine. It's been out for a while now, but still a great multi-fx at a very good price (If it wasn't 100% reliable ime I'd buy this as a spare!)
  10. Amps and cabinets are the tools of our trade. If you worked with wood as a profession would you use the cheapest, ratty equipment or would you invest in proper woodworking tools? If you are a serious musician, invest in your equipment. It'll pay dividends in the future and other musicians you work with will see that you mean business! BTW we've all been where you are now at some time in our careers.
  11. Well Newcastle ideally but I could make Leeds work. It's about time I visited my brother.. I'll pm you tomorrow.
  12. As they went to all that trouble they could have at least made it a good octave. Maybe it was a Friday...
  13. Brilliant... Thanks for this ... I can't say it was by design because it was not, but I tried to make the two wigs similar degree angle, never thought of a V shape. Yesterday I was redesigning it with pencil and paper to cut a bit the waist ( it's chubby like mine !!!) and make it a bit more lean ... Thanks for this insight!!!
  14. Fender / Sunn SR8520P powered mixer: 8 balanced mic inputs (with switchable phantom power) / 8 line inputs 1 stereo aux line input built in reverb and monitor channel (line output) 9 band graphic eq Compressor / limiter on main output Rated at 520W into 2 ohms In good working condition, recently serviced and PAT tested. A good workhorse ideal for a rehearsal room or for small gigs.
  15. Looks like a home constructed cab fitted with 4 8" big cat speakers (believed to be made for Maplin by Eminence). 8 ohms impedance and probably rated at 100 to 200W. In good condition with heavy duty plastic corners and folding handles on the side. Not particularly heavy for such a big cab. Single TS jack on the back. I'm open to offers.
  16. Yes I love the 'tronics on this - the toggle switch is really useful. Pickups are great !
  17. Open minded completely on trades. Prefer not to post but it does come with a hardcase so may be possible at buyers expense and risk.
  18. Thanks, Franz. Exactly, no matter what you do, it sounds glorious. A passive Precision into a compressor into this was my go-to setup for wedding gigs for years. If that were still my bread and butter, this'd be staying.
  19. Offered in excellent, 8.5/10 condition are two examples of my favourite 112 cabs. I'll doubtless regret this, but the reality is they aren't getting used, as I'm opting for an 4x10 on the types of gigs I used to use these on. These come complete with official Bergantino covers, in tatty but serviceable condition. The details and specs for these cabinets can be found on the Bergantino website, here. I'll entertain shipping these, but it'll require my finding big enough boxes; I imagine the quote'll be somewhat expensive. Collection, from Ipswich, is preferred, but I may be persuaded to deliver if you aren't too far away. £400 each.
  20. I don't expect these to sell, and to be honest I won't be disappointed if they don't. Offered here are two CSM 12s, made by the fine folk at QSC. These are, without hyperbole, the finest speakers I have ever used. If I had roadies, I would use these on every gig, the clarity, range, volume and fidelity are all *chef's kiss*. They're currently permanently installed in my practice room, as they are heavier than the sun and I can no longer face shifting them to and from gigs. The reality is, they're overkill for me now, and their current use is a ridiculous indulgence; if they sell, the funds will be used to replace them with something lighter. I'm also offering the QSC GXD4 that I use to power them; it's not the perfect power amp for the job, but it's been more than powerful enough for my needs. It comes housed in a flight case. The details for the wedges can be found on the QSC website, here. The details for the power amp can be found on the QSC website, here. I'm happy to sell the monitors individually at £600 each, but I'll be keeping the power amp if it doesn't sell with the monitors, as I have plenty of use for it. These are, for obvious reasons, collection only (Ipswich).
