  2. Second time at a small local place last Wednesday. Bass rig is a Warwick Gnome through an Orange 1x12 (I think). Sounds fine, I don’t run it very loud but the Gnome gets a little warm. Fine for civilised practice.
  3. Jealous. It's all TC Electronic around here. Sounds great and all, just isn't very exciting.
  4. Good luck Sponds. About time you got gigging
  5. That was a great little album, Chris. I used to have it but I don't know where it is now.
  6. So far it's just a 'History of Hooky'. Very dull... I'd rather have a Greatest Basslines show 3/4 full of Jamerson, Babbitt, Kaye etc than Hooky...
  7. Good quality soft cotton T-shirt, black, XL, unworn. The ideal Xmas present to yourself. £14 posted UK.
  8. Replied to in October. Still available.
  9. Yes it is.
  10. Now £330.00. This amazing emulation of the acoustic control corporation 360 preamplifier with variamp and built in fuzz is up for grabs. Hand made by the renowned JC Maillet and commissioned and imported by myself at great cost. I have used the 360+ for studio recordings, gigs, rehearsals and at home, it has never dissapointed. The preamp sounds fantastic and the fuzz section is the best I have used. I have owned this pedal for a good few years from new, as can be seen it's in pristine condition. Specially sourced UK power supply also included. Will happily run from other sources with the right leads (I used it with a trex chameleon). Fully detailed printed instruction manual also included. Only available as I have more preamplifiers than I can use. Try out/collection always welcome, or UK insured postage for £15.00

  11. I must admit, Morrisey the Consumer Monkey is quite entertaining.
  12. You got your daughter a meal out from the 1970's? 🐔
  13. Very very nice! Enjoy!
  14. It's amazing how much weight you can burn off at a gig!
  15. It's not difficult, but if you're not familiar with routers, watch some general woodworking videos on how to use them, practice on some scrap wood, go slowly taking off small amounts per pass, follow the direction of the router bit and use a template. Simmnet in the UK make nice ones. If you're unsure what you're doing, it's really easy to <expletive> up the instrument. Be careful. I've never used a Dremel for this, but a small flush trim style router would be better as it has some power, but no so much it'll be like a rodeo bronco if it bites into something in the wood like a denser grained section.
  16. Hey all, Just purchased a little pedalboard mixer from Alan, top stuff all around (great price, comms and packaging). I’d definitely deal with again as he’s a trusted BCer. Peace.
  17. I've had a Mintzer book for a long time and never looked at it. But, I'm starting to appreciate his work. I recently transcribed "Three Views of a Secret" from the "I remember Jaco" album with Jeff Andrews on bass.

  20. Ashdown are used professionally which to me says a lot about the brand and support. Orange is the same and Ampeg and I suspect others to some degree I know endorsement deals play a part but Ashdown offer awesome service and you don’t have to be the original owner either
  21. I’ll be in Eastleigh tonight and Lyme Regis tomorrow if anyone round those parts is interested. Send me a message this morning and I’ll bring it along! Similarly I’ll be in Wavendon on Saturday and Penarth on Sunday. Happy to bring it along if needs be.
  22. I've been using the joyo bass headphone amp for a year or so and have been very pleased with it, cost me just over a tenner on Amazon 👍
  23. Any heavy duty polyurethane castors Will do the job providing the hole centres on the plate lines up! I think I got mine from b&q when I had my old fridge ☺️ Apparently skateboard trucks do a good job as well and give a bit of extra leverage when you come up against the dreaded stairs!
