  1. Past hour
  2. My Jupiter X has balanced outs (it can also be used as a midi interface when connected to a DAW.
  3. The thing is, they kinda have a point! Fashions change and twenty years ago, I only played active basses, but I find myself being pulled back to using passive Fenders (just like when I first started gigging). Sound engineers love them and I just saw a Tom Bukovac video, where he suggested that a Fender Precision is still the bass, the only one that will work on every session he does. You might not personally agree, but you can't disregard his opinion - it carries a lot of weight. Don't get me wrong - I have an active 'super jazz' and a stingray and they both sound great. But I still find myself taking a passive Fender out to most of the gigs that I do.
  4. Yeah just measured the at 11.1 ohms for the pair. Don’t need the Tonerider pickups I bought then!!!
  5. Yup volume, tone works both active and passive 3 position selector and active on off
  6. Doubt it's Really Mahogany (that was very much over logged 70-90's) more than likely "Sapele" - "African Mahogany" which to the naked eye looks very much the same (im not going to tell you it "sounds" the same lol) but it's a bit lighter in colour and weight, I've used it in a few of my own builds and it's not Alder/boat anchor heavy and should be heavy enough to stop neck dive. I'll keep an eye on GG (thx @BassApprentice for the heads up ) to see if they have the "Metallic Blue" versions in, might also be interested to see if they have the "SQOE SBWT750 WH Warrior 5-String Headless Bass " in soon, they appeal to me a bit more than the Cort or the Hils MS headless
  7. 3 power supplies. 2 previously used for bass pedals. I used it for a tonex, zoom ms60b+. The third one is a USB one, great for the new pedals which take USB or charging your phone mid gig. £19 delivered.
  8. I acquired these with another bass a while back, no use to me. Nice retro knobs. Pick up Leyland Lancashire or will post for £5.
  9. I used my new Wharfedale Typhon 8AXF speakers last Thursday for Open Mic. The performing area is quite narrow, but the beauty of the 8s was you hardly noticed them. Sounded great with voice and Acoustic guitar. I went for the Wharfedale's as I had previously been fleeced* bought a couple of 12" Titans that are excellent. * I did not mean it @Phil Starr
  10. Spanish Stroll — Mink DeVille
  11. I know they have used Anaview and Phonic class D modules in the past. Both would be over a decade old, and so they would be a write-off. What model is it?
  12. Back up for sale today...
  13. I feel the same way with regards to the deliberate ageing trend we're witnessing on instruments. Imagine being charged more for a new vehicle that the factory bashed about a bit! 🤣
  14. They look like the p pickup that was in a Vintera p bass that I used to own, pretty sure they are the same pickup as in the American standard p basses, decent pickups
  15. Sounds logical to me! Thanks!😀
  16. HA! Thanks for sharing!🤣
  17. I just wrote to them, this is the answer I recieved: "Shipping costs can vary based on location and package size. For a single thumbrest, the cost may be high due to international shipping rates. I’m looking into finding an international distributer to alleviate this. Also if you add two Thumb Fins to the cart and use code TWOFIN. It’s a buy one get one free." So thats someting I suppose..
  18. I've got it in my head I need rounds on my Serek. I was gonna get some Labella rounds, but I think I'll wait til these are available. Did they say if they'd be doing a 5 string set?
  19. Yes, as outlined in my thread; the lever just hits the body of the G-string tuner when its released, preventing down-tuning fully to D. I guess maybe your tuner spacing could be slightly different to mine?
  20. Today
  21. I'll definitely going to be trying one I think
  22. Wow!!! What a beautiful bass! both of your ACG’s are stunning!!!🤩
  23. walk, don't run - the ventures
  24. Ahh. Its an American product. If you put in a US zipcode the carriage changes to $4.90.🤣
  25. I would guess so, almost entirely UK acts!
