  1. Past hour
  2. That's a lovely thing. For some reason (God alone knows why) I assumed that this would be a cheap bass, so I looked them up. Oops.
  3. That's a cool mod, are the colours a perfect match in real life? The smaller diameter does look a little odd but I guess it's timesaving and saves on frustration not having to cycle through the presets after moving one of the knobs unintentionally.
  4. I keep buying these as I love them, but keep needing to sell for other things. Once I sell my Bergantino head, im going back to EBS amps which have it built in (albeit much simpler) Probably the best value for money compressor you can get. This is the third "Studio Edition" of the legendary EBS comp, which features the classic three modes Tube SIM - adds a lovely warmth and Thickness to the mids. Great for Growly rock tones. Multi band - compress the highs and lows seperately, tames the high end snaps and leave the low end a bit less compressed for depth and clarity. Great for equalizing between a finger and slap tone. Normal - the classic EBS sound found on their amp heads. Nice Transparent tone, that gently evens the tone, without adding Colour This comp is a great choice for people that want variety and great tone, but very easy to use. This is in fantastic condition, with Velcro on bottom. £80 incl UK only delivery

  8. Fun service last night, and auspicious in a number of ways… it was our new vicar, Lydia’s, first weekend at the church… I got to run out the brand new Sandberg California TT SuperLight and my wife was singing in the worship team (for the first time in about 15 years). The set list was fun - and heavily biased towards some great “oldies” (with a couple of twists)… At Start Jesus Hope of the Nations (G) There is a Redeemer (D) Response Song Our God Saves (C) Communion Man of Sorrows (C) I Stand in Awe (C) - Martin Layzell At End Lord I Lift Your Name on High (G). (In the style of The Joker by the Steve Miller band) Lord Reign in Me (A). (In the style of You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simon) The last two were particularly fun to play and seemed to go down a storm - despite a small bass brain fade at the start of Lord I Lift Your Name On High… ooops, my bad. The Sandberg was great to play. These basses feel so good and at just over 6lbs, it was light as a feather - such a contrast to my 10 pounders! The sound was great - quality active/passive Jazz bass tones straight into the DI. Springy in all the right places but with a good dose of bass too. The 50/50 blend sounds great too, very smooth. The blackburst looks lovely too! I can tell I’m going to love playing this bass. My wife, Thea, has been talking about getting back into worship for a while but was quite worried about it, not having sung in public for a decade and a half (since our lad arrived). The worship pastor suggested that she come along and join in rehearsal and see how she felt - of course she’d not heard Thea sing before either so didn’t know whether her voice was good enough or if she’d be too nervous. At the end of the rehearsal she said, “That was lovely, you sounded great! You should just sing in the team this evening!” which was perfect as it gave Thea no time to get nervous or stress about it. All in all, a great service!!! Here’s the live stream…
  9. Presumably these homemade MIDI shenanigans arrived?
  10. Hi! I'm Nicolas! Bassist from Normandy, France. I was following this forum for years without account. Always some new things to learn here ! I play bass since 2009, autodidact (thanks google/youtube/slappyto...). I've played in lots of little local bands, most of them for compositions. My actual active band is Green Moss, melting pot of Hard-Rock / Pop / Punk... Our 2nd EP, Ashes, is out since 13/02/2026. Linktree here : https://linktr.ee/greenmoss_music Happy to discuss with you :D. Nico ps : Sorry for "bad-english" writing, I'm not very good, I am learning
  11. I'd call that a baptism of fire!
  12. Hi @Noyzbite yes, still here.
  13. Red and Black - Spizz Energi
  14. Do you know if the Warmoth pickguards will fit a Squier P (without drilling new holes)? Their website says “fits Warmoth bodies only”.
  15. There's someone in WANTED ITEMS looking for an OC2 👍
  16. It was all about the bridge position for me, it’s too far forward making it feel almost like a long scale!
  17. I'd struggle to get past the chorus...
  18. Fabulous cabs. I had the 12”. Sound great., impeccably made and light as. GLWTS.
  19. Blue and Yellow - The Used
  20. Today
  21. I love my USA Fallout, and the surf green Tribute I had before that. My only minor gripe is the bridge position. If they’d slid that back an inch or 2…. If G&L could have made a short scale more like the L1000/2000 body shape, I think that would have been perfect. And I love the pickups. I’d actually ordered a pair from G&L just before they shut down. Took a while to get the money back! Anyone know anything similar??
  22. The new mxr bass synth pedal has a sledgehammer preset on it. It's probably the only preset on the pedal that you don't have to be precise with your playing.
  23. I've been looking into different overdrive pedals and it is a bit of a minefield. I did originally have a Fender Bassman Driver pedal which was ok but I found it to be quite fussy, difficult to get a subtle tone and to be consistent. I like the look of the EHX Bass Soul Food but I'm liking the look of the Ampeg Bass Scrambler a bit more. Top of my list would be a Way Huge Small Pork and Pickle but for my needs which is just some subtle drive, its a little expensive and wasted on me, so I think its a bit overkill.
