    To be fair, it's just an advertising cash grab by all parties. "I'm outraged by this!" Next, post "I'm outraged by your reaction video to my video" video. However, I would say Sapko has some very reasonable points here and Dey comes across as a blatant cash grabbing div. I'm not sure which of those two statements I'm more curious about my reaction to. As someone who's never really liked Dey's playing but appreciate the technicality of being able to do it, it somewhat saddens me that it's about nothing more than cash for her and as a result, she doesn't come over well and that's before we get to her other half having the wit and personality of a fatberg. She's done some serious reputational damage to herself here and Sapko is completely right about it.

    There's a new satin shell pink one on Fleabay now for £866 delivered. Can be returned for a full refund within 60 days BUT you have to pay for (and presumably organise) shipping. Could end up being your worst nightmare if anything went wrong, and there's lots of opportunities for things to go wrong.

    Maybe you're using BC from an odd device, but on any ordinary browser, it's easy enough to edit one's own posts and delete any text, links or images there. Any images uploaded will remain, but these, too, can be listed and, if required, deleted, from one's 'My Attachments' page. This can be found by hovering the cursor over your avatar, top right, and selecting 'My Attachments'. From there one may tick the box on the right of each attachment to be deleted, and delete all those ticked in one go. Does this not cover your case..?

    I doubt it. Sorry, I had missed that part of the discussion. WRT importing from Japan: the adverts normally say that you are responsible for custom charges. I should imagine that it would be similar to my experience importing from Canada. You get an invoice for custom duties, VAT and a service charge, from the courier/shipping agent. P.S. Just looked it up. Import duty on a guitar from Japan is 6.7% calculated on the cost of the guitar, plus shipping. You also get charged VAT at 20% on the total of the cost, shipping and import duty. The courier will also make a handling charge. It sounds as though it could get quite expensive!

    When i bought my Thumb bass in 1989 i tried it thru a TE410 combo and it was a perfect match. Absolutely stunning combination. Still stands out in my memories to this day. Unfortunately i've tried TE kit since and over the years never quite captured that tone from 1990 ish. Dave

    As everyone probably knows by now I use a Bass VI into a Line6 Helix playing alternating "guitar" and "bass" parts; My current standard patch always includes the following: Deluxe Comp (Compressor) Obsidian 7000 (EQ and Distortion) 70s Chorus (Chorus) Elephant Man (Delay) I also use these regularly but not on every song: Courtesan Flange (Flanger) Jazz Rivet 120 (Roland Jazz Chorus Combo model used as an alternative EQ for guitar parts) Teemah! (used as an alternative Distortion for guitar parts) Simple Pitch (Pitch shifter mostly 1 octave down to thicken up the higher bass parts or produce a bass line behind a guitar part) Searchlights (Reverb) Tremelo (Tremelo) I have a different Preset for each song with all the settings adjusted to fit my sound into the mix of other instruments and then up to 5 Snapshots in each song to change the song as required.

    I went wireless about this time last year and the feeling of freedom was fantastic! Still have to keep an eye on stage position during songs that need effects or BVs though - I expect I'll get caught out sooner or later...

    Regarding Mohini Dey being one of the best bass players on the planet, it's more accurate to say she is one of the most bass players on the planet; she plays an awful lot of notes, but it never seems to add up to much. Yet another bass prodigy who never found a way to make meaningful music. Myself, I'd put Danny Sapko way in front of her in terms of being useful on the bass guitar. The vast majority of these bass "influencers" are all fairly similar in that they have formidable skills but lack enough self-awareness to realise that their playing isn't very interesting in itself. They don't seem to have the creative intelligence to make something more worthwhile. And yet they are offering advice. I like Danny Sapko because he has no such pretentious or delusions. To me, he's not part of that world and long may that remain so. I certainly don't begrudge him if he gets some free bass stuff, though. Better than that even, someone should to send him some proper clothes to wear. He is undoubtedly Britain's Worst Dressed Man, and that is quite an achievement considering both Dominic Cummings and John Barnes still live in the U.K. Never mind YT videos about visiting Andy Baxters ect, he could do with a trip to Primark at the very least.

    Those Boba Fuzz pedals are fantastic, it's a 1:1 clone of the Zvex Mammoth with an added mids control on the Body dial. Looks like Vinnie's knocked his eBay shop on the head as well so there's no new ones available

    Very clean Behringer bass v-amp pro rack mounted effects unit. It has loads of amp and cab simulations as well as effects and built in tuner. I just don't ever use it these days so here it is! Postage would be about £8 royal mail second class.

    I can only remember seeing a handful FS on here in all the years I've been a member. Re importing, they occasionally come up on Fleabay with Japanese sellers and a note saying free returns but I'm always wary - maybe wrongly so. Personal imports are probably quite easy - if you know what you're doing!?

    CPC sell them so if you can think of sixteen quid’s worth of other stuff you need from CPC (and who amongst us can’t do that?) then you can get free delivery. To be honest even if you have to pay delivery I’d struggle to find a cheaper way of making a decent grille, as long as you have the means to cut it (I used a Dremel but am sure hacksaw or tinsnips would do). Note that the plastic edging is just a stretch fit around the round grille so you can re-use it (with glue) for the rectangular version.

    For sale is my Marcus Miller v7 fretless. I bought this this year, I'm the second owner and it's in excellent condition – barely a mark on it. Selling as is always the case, to fund something else. These are seriously good for the money, especially for someone wanting to dabble in the fretless world for the first time. The preamp is a powerful 18v and is turn-off-able (definitely a word) so you have best of both Jazz bass worlds. Collection would be preferable but I do have a box so something could probably be arranged. Any questions, just ask. I have a feedback thread:
