  2. I know ESP thought about buying Lakland when Dan Lakin decided to move on. I always wanted a black DJ4. Finally got round to ordering one only to be told Lakland no longer offered that model due to Darryl taking his patent elsewhere. I was quite miffed, but to make up for it I got them to make me a one-off custom USA-made version with ChiSonic pickups ect. It's quite a bass. The Skyline versions are back now, but only in crap colours.
  3. I recently purchased this from a small solo builder. Fantastic build quality and to my ears it's identical to the Darkglass I had. I had no need for a DI like the original, this doesn't have one. So it's just a killer dirt box. It was a kind of impulse purchase for me, as awesome as it is I've really no use for it sadly (I can get similar with what I already have) . I put it on my board but it's had very little use so it's as new. £93 posted. Always happy to hear trades w.h.y(possibly another vintage micro tubes)👍 I forgot to take a pic, but I've put fresh pedal tape on the bottom (I can remove if needed)
  4. Would these fit in a standard Fender jazz do you know? Cheers
  5. Really good basses - GLWTS
  6. really interested in this ill message u
  7. It has two axes each of 3 positions; on my Ric I've got an SD humbucker, so I just have one with in single-coil and one with it humbucker. But there are lots of other options. https://www.freewayswitch.com/
  8. I had the stereo and sold it. Regretted it and bought the mono. It really is the Swiss Army knife of amp world. I’ve got a Markbass Evo 1 to try out at the moment which basically, has the Multiamp amps and effects but has two independent channels, which is exactly what I need. I think it’s what I’ve been looking for, for a long time 😁
  9. Filming a video next week for my YouTube
  10. It's got a nice brushed finish & a word on it. 👍
  11. I wanted to fit these to an FGN jazz bass because I love the 51 P tone. However, I don’t have as much experience of upgrading as I thought, and didn’t realise J pickups come in slightly different sizes. Subsequently, the neck pickup case has some marks and filing around the ears because it’s slightly larger than the cavity on my bass. They also need a bass with a more curved radius - the inner pole pieces are raised slightly.
  12. I had a Skyline Darryl Jones (Korea) and I had a Shoreline Darryl Jones. There was nothing between them, really. I preferred the Korean one as it was lighter and more "played in" but there was no difference in build quality or spec. Both were very good instruments.
  13. Mutually Assured Destruction - Gillan
  14. Thanks all. Sweet cherry or red eucalyptus is close enough for me. Based on the photos it looks like the eucalyptus, but it is light so in the absence of DNA testing I'll leave it as either. Eventually I'll post what I have done with it. Don't hold your breath though...
  15. Are they the Geezer EMG’s ?
  16. Nice. What are the six positions?
  17. TC Spectracomp with toneprint function. No box. £40 including postage via royal mail
  18. You are so right 👍They are surprisingly good basses and for the money can’t be beaten 😎
  19. OK, I'll bite, in what way is it better quality?
  20. https://bassbros.co.uk/product/2010-ibanez-btb675/ That's your lot from me 🤣
  21. Red Eucalyptus: https://www.wood-database.com/lyptus/ Cherry: https://www.wood-database.com/sweet-cherry/ It's one of them, and you can discard walnut. Red eucalyptus is denser than sweet cherry. 😉
  22. Helix HX for sale, it's been used well for a few years. Notice a few pixels on the first two scribble strips were damaged by an errant plug, happened a few years ago. Other than that and the battle scars 100% working with no issues. Original box. Price includes UK postage
