Small venue tonight so I went DI with one of the 'baby' devices. Struggled all first set until nearly done when I realised the PA on my side had the top turned down. Used it to Bluetooth music to the pa in the interval... then struggled for two songs until I realised it had reset and was on a preset, then I got my sound back. All this combined with gigging flats gor the first time, I couldn't relax and felt awkward. Ironically a bass player in the audisaid I had a really good sound... I just wish I could have heard it better. Conclusion... if I go ampless again, I will need IEMs. But it took me decades to find earplugs I like so... Took me a few minutes to pack away, then 50 minutes helping the others...

Dunno but it's all got to fit in my car...

Correct. Most Gibson long-scale basses (EB-0L, EB-3L, RD, Victory,Bass IV/V...) are 34.5" scale.

Ritsugamesh started following EBS BassIQ Triple Envelope Filter Pedal
-
For sale is my EBS BassIQ Envelope Filter pedal. A really great and robust dedicated envelope filter, I've come across a number of use cases live. It's got a ton of features and plenty of scope to create a wide range of sounds with the different mode and filter options. It's the latest release of the model, which includes additional features the previous two did not have. Used as part of a funk band on bass, but the songs were rotated out and I haven't been working with them all too much, so looking to move it along and thin out my board to the bare essentials. Comes with the original box. In excellent condition, with a few minor cosmetic paint chips. Collection from Nottingham preferred, but can look into posting at cost.

Could be cap or possibly pots - Squier use 500s which are brighter, changing them to 250s sorts things out nicely, maybe Sire do similar?

Ritsugamesh started following DigiTech Luxe Pitch Tune Chorus Pedal
-
Here's a pretty unique pedal - a Digitech Luxe. A pretty rare bird these days, as it's been out of production for quite some time, but it's a surprisingly cool and simple pedal. It fills a similar role to a chorus, but instead of doubling a signal and using a waveform to modulate and build that warbling sound, this pedal creates a double of your signal that is detuned to a set amount based on the pedal's settings. You can also blend the second signal in with the first. Worth checking out a video to see if it's your bag. I've found it's best use as both a signal doubler/thickener by pretty much bypassing the detune, or as a more stable chorus with a small detune 10 o clock or 2 o clock on the detune knob. Condition is very good. Some minor paint chips as shown in the picture, but otherwise it is in brilliant shape. No box, unfortunately, that thing went a long time ago! Collection from Nottingham preferred.

It will be a real shame if they do go under. Always seemed like a good, helpful friendly bunch.

On the subject of Neck Through and Korea vs Indonesia, I notice that Indonesia is producing Neck Through Schecter 12s (Stargazer) whereas Korea is doing bolt on 12s (DP-12). This tells us that there's certainly the capability and confidence in Indonesia with NT builds so that might just point toward an Indonesia-built NT Spector. The Stargazer is around £1249 and has a lot more hardware than a 4/5 string Spector would, so the £1100-1200 mark seems achievable based on my simple estimates and that would differentiate from the bolt on and the Euro. And then there's the Euro Bolt versus NT Indonesian... I'm sticking to what I like and know. EMGs, NT, Haz (or clone). An early NS5-XL next for me, enough of the complications of product differentiation 😄

I'd take a red (dakota, CA and fiesta in most to least favourite order) 60s Jazz bass over an OW one any day. I'm not sure what it is but red is so visually pleasing to me on an old Jazz. Always a white scratchplate though. I remember Andy Baxter had a dakota red 66 in about 10 years ago before the prices went mental, which I almost pulled the trigger on, and still regret that I didn't
