  2. I had a few other jobs to do, and my health has, as usual, intervened. Today was a good day, so off I trot to the summerhouse/workshop to install the new 5 watt modules. I also added the recommended filter capacitors on the DC outputs. I did manage to test it and SUCCESS! I only installed two modules, as I really only need two at the moment. Not only that, but I do have three more PCBs if I decide to make a bigger pedal board. The only thing missing now is a fuse and the fine-tuning of the mechanics of the pedal board.
  3. Something themed on a wandering finger, perhaps? One seems to have migrated from left to right...
  4. Very astute commentary. Time goes on it happened and I was lucky to be there. I also get that it's the past. We can't have 1970 in 2025. I'll say one thing. I could say more but I'll only say one. In 2025 Lu Lu looks fantastic. Daryl
  5. My B2A sits behind the settee, great little bass, with the drop Dtuner bridge too👍🏼
  6. Actually last week but… First full rehearsal with new singer. She is great, easy to work with, and sings in a positive way that’s nice for me to harmonise with. Mostly on IEMs (drummer has electronic kit) but ran a mix through the PA too and someone made a phone recording that I listened back to today - this is a band with potential methinks.
  7. I did write the user guide, though I appreciate that done folks learn better via video/in-person demonstration.
  8. Super funky envelope filter that has its own unique sound. But, I have too many filters and I’ve just splurged on another MXR pedal so need to recoup. This is one of the original purple sparkle finishes from the earliest run. The purple sparkle makes it 15% funkier than the current version. It is in excellent cosmetic condition on top but the base plate has some scratches likely from where someone used an implement to remove some old Velcro. I’d say goo condition on the base plate. £85 including postage. It also come with the original box and instruction manual.

    Sire U5

It is your lucky day! It is unbound. Bought in 2023. I will sort out a side pic for "lack of binding certainty" later on.
  10. Looks like it was intonated by dragging it through a field behind a tractor.
  11. Don’t know about the OP but I’d be interested in any kind of idiot’s guide you felt able to create! I’ve failed to make any headway with either FI4 or C4, and even my boy (who mucks around with software synths for fun) is similarly bamboozled. (Sorry to hijack — GLWYS)

  13. OK, now you are stepping to dangerous waters. You say there is good and bad art. A republican are you? Harsh start could be global musical styles, where the scales differ from western tempered scale. I suggest you to read this and come back to comment on "good music": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_temperament See, if someone plays you music that has something else than tempered 12 notes in an octave (but instead there would be 15 - 72, and not tempered), it may sound very strange to you, as you haven't lived in such an environment. (When I was a kid, my father gathered many musical styles to his library. As an example I hate Indian music, although more than one billion people listen to it.) Musical scales are a learned/agreed thing. In western music even the A has been moving from say 390 Hz to something like 470 Hz. 440 Hz was recommended by a conference in 1834, but this was adopted as a standard no earlier than 1955! Oh yes, check Comma, too. I think your understanding of "good" music depends on the environment you have been living in. If your taste does not understand different musical styles, or music from other areas, they may sound "bad" to your ear. It still does not mean the art is "bad" per se. Yes, I know there are bad performances available (try F. Foster-Jenkins - Queen of the night). But is the music "bad", then? Yes, I hate B. Springsteen's voice, but after my bandmate sang Born to run, I understood the music behind Bruce's voice.
  14. Better get it muddy and dirty quick.
  15. Hi Chris, Seems I don’t automatically get a notification when someone replies! I’ve PM’d you the number. Terry

  19. I've played a couple of Overwaters and they are amazing instruments. Sadly too heavy for my back, ho hum!
  20. If I say to the wife, "I like the look of that xxxxx", her reply has always been, "If it's that good, get it". Back in the 80's we were having a look around Peter Cook's shop, and I expressed an interest in a Fender Precision Special that was hanging on the wall. She bought it there and then!! She has about half a dozen dolls houses around the house, 3 or 4 quilts on the go and a garden full of flowers, oh, and I nearly forgot the shoes! We support each other's interests.
  21. That's a bit like my situation, except that anything I buy and don't like I leave gathering dust in a corner or give away because no one else appears to like it enough to offer me money for it. Similarly, though I am trying to resist as there's nothing I actually need right now...
  22. MXR M85 bass distortion. Great distortion pedal in good condition. Velcro on the bottom. £90 delivered. Any questions just ask 👍
  23. Mine is coming tomorrow via Andertons
  24. I had the cricket bat Hohner B2A with EMG pups. It was ace!! When I finally get my 80s band started... Later this summer I hope, I will probably want another. Though mine was active I loved the sound in passive.
  25. I occasionally have to do a score out of 10 for each one , then sometimes score it out of 100 to make it more detailed if 3 don't become obvious. anyway I digress ... certificates to follow after my tea , but in the meantime fill your boots
