  1. Past hour
  2. Speaking with my real name hat on - Andy Watt - I’d suggest I might have to get one of these. 😁
  3. For fleeting moment, I honestly thought 'has Drake opened a night club on a boat?'
  4. Hi, yes still have them, can ship to the states but obviously would increase cost a bit. DM me your address and I’ll get you a quote. Thanks
  5. Have played many genres, from death metal to Americana, blues to goth and even funk/hip hop. Not great in any of them, let's be honest, but solid and reliable enough to be first call for a Grammy-nominated blues rock singer over the past 15 years and to have been regularly gigging in all the coolest small/mid sized London venues (Dublin Castle, Half Moon, 100 Club etc). Had to step away from my goth/post punk band The InSect due to family circumstances at end 2024 and looking to get back into a band - preferably post punk/goth (maybe even a tribute band to Joy Division, Cure, Banshees etc) or loud guitar-based rock/metal. If that band preferred rehearsing on a weekday, rather than weekend, all the better. Better yet if in SW/W London but fine to travel to Camden/Dalston Ideally would be rehearsing once every 1-2 weeks and gigging once a month. Downsides. I am not a spring chicken (I am old enough to have seen Bauhaus supported by The Birthday Party and Bon Scott singing for AC/DC). I am therefore not great with Tiktok trends like flapping my hands and shouting 6-7. Upsides. I am solid, reliable, have good gear, transport and a reasonable amount of time on my hands, as I am semi-retired, plus I look like an ageing rock god (OK the last bit is boll*cks). But I do have hair.
  6. Meanwhile in Bolivia, tickets for Juanes (not really my cup of tea but a big name in Latin 'rock/pop' for the last 30 years or so) are about 60 quid for VIP and the cheap seats are just over a tenner. Venue holds around 6 thousand I would guess Now Bolivia is not a wealthy country so there is less purchasing power but there is the same level of touring overheads so if Juanes and all his crew are making money it suggest that somebody in all the examples you have given is making A LOT of money. I am sure they could still make money at half the prices they are charging bit greed is the creed....
  7. Today
  8. tea prices are still up and down. so looks like the free tea bag, is a no go for now. will keep you up dated as and when markets dictate
  9. I think this shows how they value you Daryl. Hang in there.
  10. Two very intimate gigs in London so far this week Monday was Emma Swift at The Troubadour, with her other half Robyn Hitchcock as support, then Wednesday was Robyn aboard the replica of Drake's ship The Golden Hinde in Southwark, with Emma providing b/vox for a few numbers.
  11. Bump for a couple of great cabs, happy to separate or do a little deal for both… jonny
  12. I used them for a while now! Grew to like them! But gone through 2 G's already! Anyone got a spare old G for sale?
  13. Nothing wrong with the TL072 - I've used it in many products. I would have considered it for this, but I wanted something that was a bit less current hungry so it could be phantom powered. The output of the pedal is AC coupled, but it takes a while for everything to settle after it's been powered up. A lot of that is due to the "artificial" mid point which is filtered heavily to keep noise out of it
  14. On parking prices for stadium gigs, when #2 son and I went to the O2 for Dream Theater I was still non weight bearing on my left ankle but I drove anyway as I have an EV, so automatic and don’t need my left foot. I used the valet parking and probably would again as it really wasn’t that expensive, particularly if spread across four in a car. Drove past the trucks and up to the door, handed over the keys and went in. Leaving the car was waiting at the door and the drive out was fairly easy. A bit of a queue once we met the carparks exiting, but I’d do it again. For Stray Kids at White Hart Lane with my granddaughter I found a primary school that makes a bit of extra money for school funds by letting parking spaces for events that’s right next to the ground. £40 IIRC but a couple of minutes walk in and out, though you have to arrive a little earlier to miss road closures and we picked the wrong way out and got stuck at a road closure, but again worth it particularly if you have a car-full, easy access and gives a small school some much needed extra funds. Granddaughter was happy at the wait on the way out confusing the heck out of my Spotify algorithm finding K-Pop on Apple CarPlay 🤦🤣 Gig wise we tend not to do stadium gigs - DT at the O2 could possibly be the first gig of that size I have been to. More normally we are at smaller theatre or club gigs. Prices can get up a bit on occasion and paying an extra £2 or so for the ‘privilege’ of printing a ticket at home, or receiving it electronically to my phone is always galling.
  15. You dont see too many of these out in the wild! Are you sure its a bridge PU as it says neck on the underside?
  16. Hi, that would be great 😃. SE Bassbash 9/11 👍🏼
  17. I've been on here for decades and I'm very familiar with Daryl's threads. Just this one seemed a bit different and some of his recent posts might have indicated a slight lack of confidence / self deprecation. I'm much reassured by his reply though 👍
  18. The Bass Bros website seems to have been upgraded and it seems easier to navigate and more consistent. Plus they have a couple of very nice Mo Foster basses for sale.
  19. Edited the topic and reduced the price to £1300 based on the new information, not sure how to edit the price. Thanks for helping out!
  20. Up for sale is this Active Westone Thunder 1A Fresless Bass Guitar. Rare vintage instrument! Made in Japan Comes with a hardcase Collection only! No trades unfortunately...
  21. This is like the Swiss army knife of basses, has best of both the Fender and Musicman world. I Remember once trying it in the 90s and said I must have one some day. Honestly, I don't even know what all the buttons do Unfortunately It has to go with some other kit because it's not getting used enough...
  22. A rare premium Ibanez sound gear 6 string bass guitar. Made in Indonesia. If you are looking at this, you know how good they are! this one comes with the original hardcase, a strap and the manual. I tried to take enough photos to show some bumps but the neck is perfect and playability is superb. Strung with flatwounds so no need to ever change them! Reason for selling is only because 4 strings is more than enough for me and I am doing a clear out! Collection only! No trades unfortunately...
