  2. Please edit to put sold in subject line 🙏
  3. That is indeed a very nice Jazz Bass. The sunburst on it is beautiful, nice and dark contrast with just the right amount of red. May you have a lot of fun playing it.
  4. My 4/4 dB fits in a Skoda citigo. Using the neck down the foot well body on reclined front seat method. I got to a bass bash once with the dB, two powered cabs and three bass guitars....in the citigo; but I can't quite remember how.
  5. Why can you not believe that someone hasn't heard of someone? Even as a bass player I don't know the names of most groups that I didn't have much interest in, and some that I did. I have heard of him from being on here and people talking about him, but most people of most groups I don't know so it seems reasonably likely that the majority of people wouldn't have heard of the bass player in a group that had a few top ten hits and a handful of more top 40s. I mean showaddywaddy had twice as many hits (including a number one hit) and I have no idea what their bass player is. I could probably name about 4 or 5 bass players from 80s groups at most.
  6. I can understand that Peter Hook's playing (or that of any bass player) may not be to your taste, but to claim that you have never heard of them is just being ignorant. I have little interest in the other two bass players in the series, but at least I know who they are and what they have played on. It may be that my lack of interest in their playing is that I don't much like (from a musical PoV) anything they have played on.
  7. Yes.... I will offer you 0% of any finance 😆
  8. Thanks those that responded. The kids are happier for your kindness. Until next time, or someone finds the elusive bass compressor lol

  10. Nun of the Above - Duran Duran
  11. Looks like a surface scratch, probably from a hasty string change.
  12. I was thinking of doing some similar mods to my Rockboard duo to fit their patch bay. Thankfully it doesn’t have to be too neat as the patch bay mounting plate will hide the mess. Did you use a hacksaw?
  13. Awesome analogy synth I was using for a project that's no more, so not getting used sadly. Perfect for someone looking for heavy bass synth but like me gets all flustered with menu's/programming etc. Great working condition.the wings have been upgraded with custom wooden ones (the original black ones are renowned for going sticky n tacky) Comes complete with box/instructions . Also a padded Cobra case. If collected I'll chuck in a basically new great quality stand for it 👍. Ideally I'd prefer collection or meet but happy to post if buyer sorts out his own courier and cost. In a perfect world I'm looking for a trade on a guitar combo, 1x12 or 2x12 Not the best pics, I'll take some more in better light.

  15. Today
  16. Been on a bit of a Lloyd Parks one lately, great singer and bass player and at sunsplash 82 on his P bass, started learning this today
  17. Two things I really like from last nights episode were for one the appreciation from bassists re those who can do lead vocals when on bass, and secondly the comments from MADM about how much she enjoyed her role in a band when she didn’t have to do any vocals and could just play bass. I really get that, just sitting back and providing the groove/foundations for the song.
  18. Immaculate Barefaced SuperMini (silver cloth grill) with Barefaced padded cover. Less than a year old. I have two but just don’t need them both. In fact, have only used both together for one gig, hence moving this one on. This is the version without a tweeter. It’s incredibly small and light, sounds absolutely fantastic and goes loud. Tech specs are. Height: 17.5”. Width: 16.5”. Depth: 11”. Weight: 8.5kg (with cloth grill). Max amp power: 600w. Max output: 127db. Impedance: 8ohm. No trades thanks. Price includes shipping to locations within the UK. Collection is also possible, I live approximately 15 minutes from junctions 14 and 15 of the M1. Photos on the way once I’ve taken them.

  19. We're in the same spot. Having to look out new venues for 2026. Clubs especially are finding it difficult selling tickets and turning a profit. What we don't want is playing the same venues too often as people get fed up seeing the same bands too often. We're also considering venues South of the border which are relatively easy reach for me. I'm 1 hr from Carlisle on M74. Newcastle also an option we're looking at. We had a few venues contact us last year from as far down as Brighton but the distances just weren't justified for one gig unless we charged silly money to include accomodation. Dave
