  2. Really, who watches that shite...and why is the licence money wasted on commissioning more of it.
  3. Selling my cream Avantone Active Mixcube studio monitor. It’s in great condition, hardly used and has only been in my smoke-free home studio. Works perfectly. These are perfect for checking your work to see how things translate to real-life consumer devices. Also helpful for spotting issues in the mix or production earlier. Great tools overall! Includes: Original box Power cable Only selling because I’m changing my setup. Shipping: Free postage – I’ll pack it properly in the original box and send it quickly. Collection is also totally fine if you're local.
  4. I bought Patrick’s Warwick. Super easy transaction great communication and he was super kind to agree for me to collect the bass on a Saturday at 7AM! Highly recommend.
  5. Someone please buy this bass. You’re getting a hell of a lot for not much money.
  6. They certainly interact with instruments differently. They awesome on my Rob Allen but less than stellar on my Maruszczyk.
  7. This one comes with black nylon-coated flats and I'm looking forward to hearing how that sounds. I looked at a few online reviews a while back and seem to recall one of the reviewers saying the Mullarkey sounds awesome with those strings. Mark at Bass Direct reckons they're one of the best kept bass-playing secrets out there.
  8. 😢 I've left it there. Might be a future project...
  9. Tech 21 Bass Flyrig V2 with power plug . With instruction manual and box. Versatile bit of kit. £268 posted
  10. Thanks mate. Just to stop people misusing it for nefarious reasons. Probably not really necessary on an old Musicmaster.
  11. Did a pedal trade with Ian. Hassle free, great comms, very happy!
  12. I did like Skipton. I think it was there that had the most upmarket Oxfam bookshop ever, no cheap paperbacks but first folio editions of properly expensive books. None on bass cab building though 🙄
  13. isn't it everyone's favourite compressor? best compressor on this earth, second best pedal second only to SANSAMP
  14. Grassington is lovely, since they film some of the Vets stuff there it's a lot more touristy. We looked at moving there when we came from London but chose Clapham instead. Skipton is a small market town. It has a genuine old castle and a really good Saturday market. It also has real night clubs according to my daughter. I would have no idea to be honest. There's great walks along the canal both north and south. You can cycle from Leeds to Skipton along the canal side. Quite easy apart from the locks at Bingley.
  15. Just be wary of the advice in this thread RE aging of the finish. The Squier CV series is gloss finish and if you take sandpaper to it or try to “age” or “wear” it through use, it won’t produce the same kind of wear that nitro finish will. It also won’t yellow with age as it cures (that’s why they add an amber tint to the gloss on the neck finish of the Squiers to create an effect, almost like fake tan) If you want a bass that will age nicely over time, nitro is the only option IMO (although there are cheaper options, like Limelight, second hand AVRI or probably even Nash that will give the spec for less than this specific model [Vintera Road Worn] of basses new at RRP)
  16. Enable is the input used to mute the amp.
  17. Yes, I'm UK based. Appreciate shipping isn't cheap. I pressed the button as finding a lightweight, medium scale with slim neck in excellent condition isn't easy. Is 1999 necessarily better than 2007 manufacture? It's a Yamaha Motion B Thanks.
  18. I have to agree with my honourable friend. Given the cost of it (incl taxes) I would be inclined to bail on the deal and wait. May be fine but, as Beedster says, a difference of almost a decade can mean a big difference in quality. Similarly, that is an opinion based on gut and zero knowledge of Yamaha basses.
  19. Hello. Have you managed to sell your aerodyne? Hard to find anything lefty in the US.
  20. Are you based in Aus? If you're in the UK, courier and import costs will be quite high and if there are any further issues with the bass and you have to return it you could find yourself out of pocket. Seems a bit odd that a reputable seller got the year of production wrong which does make me wonder if they've made any other errors? I don't know the model, but in other model/ranges an 8-year difference in manufacturing dates can mean a significant difference in quality and value
  21. Usually resting against my hip, but occasionally a bit more relaxed...
  22. Today
  23. Thanks for your thoughts guys. Appreciated. Ah I see- the bathroom stuff I guess? Suppose that gives it some hold to aid the single screw but not so much you couldn't remove in future. I suppose hipshot ultralight only have one screw don't they. If I get time this evening I may remove one existing and see if either of the gotoh holes line up exactly. It isn't, but this could still well be the most sensible solution 😉
